My seat doesn't move!!!!

So my drivers seat does not move up and down to adjust to drive. I took it to Infiniti and they said it would be 1350 to be replaced * pause ....... I almost died because that is way too expensive. After some research they said that this problem usually occurs. Any help with this? Anyone have an extra seat track lying around in their garage lol?

maybe its just the switch? try spraying some kind of electrical cleaner at it?

I had similar problem with the up down switch not working.In my case something had fallen into the switch physically keeping it from operating.I took it apart and removed a small watch battery that had found its way into the switch assy.Worked fine after that.

You could also check the seat motors by "lightly" tapping the motor with an small hammer while pressing the seat switch at the same time. If the seat then moves then you may have a bad seat motor.

My passenger seat had similar problem, only went forward won't backward. Seat switch was abt $70, labor was abt $180. As a reference

How did you open the switch? I'm having the same issue. My passenger seat will move back but won't move forward. I think it has gunk in it as well.

Might want to open up the switch and clean the contacts. I beleive thier is a video on how to do it on a g35 which is very similiar. If not you can get a new switch for about $70 and very simple to replace.

Not sure if its the same problem but the g35 seats have a similar problem where the gear wheel breaks as dirt or etc get clogged.
