So I've been a bit of lurker on this site for a few years.
I bought my 2004 almost three years ago and absolutely loved every minute with it. Looking for something more current, I started looking for a used FX50 about six months ago. White was my first choice in color and I finally found one on ebay two weeks ago. I impulsively bid on the car until I met the reserve price (never bought anything on ebay before) and won the car. I was happy with the price I paid, and was excited to take a road trip out to Virginia Beach to trade in my old FX for a 2009 FX50S.
I left from Wisconsin last Sat. evening covering almost 1200 miles to get to the dealership on Monday morning.

I immediately left the dealership after my purchase and was back in WI tuesday morning.
A couple of thoughts:
What a phenomenal engine, deep growl, limitless power, not as thirsty as advertised. ( I got about 22mpg per gallon on the way home)
Plenty of gadgets to keep me occupied on the long journey. My first car with Navigation, SiriusXM, amoung other things.
I was always happy with the way my 2004 handled, but this car is no comparison.
Now for the bad.
After a few days I have had some time to think about how my purchase went.
I guess I feel when I am buying a car from an Infiniti dealership I expect I should be treated better than buying at the used car lot on the corner. I wanted to be at the dealer when it opened, which I did, arriving 15 after opening. The salesman had called me ten minutes earlier to see where I was. When I arrived, the car wasn't even around, it was in detailing. I had to sit around and wait for an hour while he made small talk and needed some information for the finance guy. I had already faxed him all my insurance, financing, license and other information five days before arriving hoping to expedite the process.
When the car finally came up front about an hour and a half later, I was excited to go see it and he suggested we go take it for a ride. I immediately noticed that there were some black marks on the rear left wheel and tried to wipe them off with my finger. The "stains" were not coming off, and I asked him what it was. He replied " I don't know, but it should come off with some steel wool." I thought he either he thinks I'm a complete idiot, or he knows nothing about cars. STEEL WOOL on what the finance guy told me were $2000 a piece wheels in trying to sell me a warranty that covered them.
After driving the car I felt a little better and waited some more time to sign the paperwork. I had inquired on numerous occasions about the ipod cord and the salesman said he thought he had one in his desk. After alomst four hours of waiting ( I'd never make it through DC before rush hour now) I was ready to go, but still no ipod cord. I asked him again, and he said he didn't have one. I was getting irrate and asked if parts had one, he said they did for $45. The salesman wanted me to pay, because he said the vehicles didn't come with the cord. After reading the owners manual, they did indeed come with the cord, and I still can't believe they would charge me for a cord after spending the amount of money I did.
Here is a picture of the wheel, looks like something is etched into them:

What do you guys think? While I was there I also observed the salesman at the next desk, literally taking a nap and the sales manager screaming to the whole showroom that they "better sell some people before I get back" when leaving for lunch. I love my new car save the f'd up wheel, but am I just being too picky, have a little buyers remorse, or is this the way a luxury car dealership should be?
Thanks for taking the time to read this rather lengthy post.
