Jonas , a lot of the graphite 2nd Gens look like that. mine is the same, but not quite as prominent. My man at the body shop pointed that out to me.what's the other black car you have in your garage?

But why is the front bumper color look drastically different? Especially when comparing to the hood of the car or the driver side fender like in pics 2 and 3?
Hosh, I have revisited your garage about 5 times now, I am lovin the look of your FX.
Paint on plastic parts will always look different or "off" than on metal. Also certain lighting conditions, angles and the actual color make that transition from fender to bumper more pronounced too. If anyone ever does a 2012 bumper retrofit onto their cars, they should have the body shop blend the bumper paint halfway onto the hood and fenders so the transition is minimized. If you paint the bumper only, it will look really bad, but maybe you can get away with it on the white.

Haaa ............. I'm trying my best to stay out of Hosh's garage since I find myself staring at that front lip which will only make me want it more and more !!! With that said ......... I've peeked in here more than multiple times already haaa !!! Love your ride Hosh !!

Yeah but I would assume he didn't get the bumper painted. Only the lower lip if it didn't come colored. But the area that looks sooo different is the bumper and the hood and sides especially driver side.

White is easy to blend by metallic white gosh no. Some shops won't touch it since it is a tricoat and sooo hard to blend our white FXs.

No , I don't want to sink that much money in an Fx50S. I have found a couple of 2012s , but they are too much for my wallet right now. I'm looking for a 2010 or 11
haha several months ago it was a 2010.
Haaaaa ........ watch Wayne end up getting a 2014 QX70-SHWLAIWOW or whatever Infiniti is going to call it soon :eek.:

Thank you EVERYONE for the great replies. Two of you have commented on the color and/or being in an accident. Here's the story: First of all...the kits only come in a couple colors: white, black, silver and one other I believe, I don't recall. That means that if you have any other color FX (ex. mine is Graphite, not Silver), you need to have a body shop paint it to match your color. So mine was ordered in black. The entire kit was painted to match my car, the process was done with precision...they had my car for nearly a week. The day after I got my car back, I got in a fender bender, rear-ended a lady who stopped after she entered the intersection. Amazingly enough, the front lip was not damaged. But the entire front bumper and grill was. So at that point in time, I had to have a new bumper (and from what I was told by the collision place, the bumpers don't come painted either) and grill and use the previously painted lip. To my knowledge, everything was done to match. I truly think what you are seeing in the pics is the lip being more "pronounced" with the lighting. These pics were taken from my phone just as it was starting to rain...I will take more pics when I get it detailed next week. When I look at it in person, it looks completely normal.

so your telling me that when i get the front lip i have to get it painted? i wanted to get it from the infintiparts.com. so what if i get it from the dealership does it come color matched then?

Depends what year. From 09-11 you should be good with getting the right color from online or the dealer. 2012-13 they are diff colors and for those they do not offer the aero kit for so it has to be repainted.

i have a 2009 Platinum Graphite Fx. Will i have to get it painted or will it come color matched from infinitiparts.com or from the dealership website?
