Not to push this topic on you, but speaking from my experience with my fx, headers are a nice addition and will change the sound to be more agressive, but to unlock to true performance hfc are the way to go, as someone posted, they are the bottle neck of the exhuast system, and as for the man, well since you have headers it makes no difference if you go to hfc, test pipes are another story. For the one that know to check for hfc, they will know what header looks like. otherwise for the one who don't know they just sees that you still have your cats. the crawford hfc look like a normal cat just 1/4 of the weight and restriction. I started with a stillen intake, then stillen headers, then stillen exhuast, then crawford plenum, then finished with crawford hfc as far as being na. At each mod, power was felt, some at the highter rpm range and others on the low, but the hfc was to most noticable mod as it tied everything together. As for sound, it is deeper and louder, so if you have a good exhuast it just makes it sound even better. But if you decide to just stick with headers you'll still have fun and when the itch to have more power comes you have a quick and fairly inexpensive mod for the power/performance gain, cause the next level after that would be to go FI, and as you know it's not cheep.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into some HFC's......any particular brands that work better than others? What should I look out for?

Ohhhh No you did'nt....:boxing:

 It's on.....

Did he tell you to lick him or did you just assume to lick him.. Dunno

Get outta the 35 performance area fool......go kick it in the 45 Performance.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

 it's all good... Go 35's :turtle:

Just kidding Jeff and Viet..

From what I've heard, HFC'S Gonna make the nismo plumbing crazy loud. I think you'll get pulled over for that before a smog violation. But that will yield the best power.

Goodness Will....

This has been a good year for the Rhino..

The Kinetix are cheaper but they can not pass for the stock ones.

I see you are spending your christmas money and birthday money all at the same time Will =)

And yes the TS reflash is about that price.

If you have no issues or troubleshooting on the dyno, Flash & few pulls will run you 'round $650-, but there is no one thing better to do than a tune. Drivability will be sooo much better, & TS can easily pull some 20+ HP outa your mods. The HFC's will give some nice gains with those headers though . . that is if they fit

Good move Will. I'm curious to see the results from your install...since we have similar set ups  What brand are those ? I was looking at Top Speed, heard they're decent.

Theyre Strup. I have to call up LMS and see what next week looks like for them -

I might just stay with the stock cats and use that $$$ for a tune

why not get a good used piggyback and get it custom tuned.. I got my emanage ultimate for $250 on other forums and tuning it is just 1 hr labor (plus 1 hr mounting initially).. Would save you spending $650 for a reflash every time..

Ok Strups are on - but it sounds like crap....I think theres a leak cuz a lot of the (exhaust noise) is coming from underneath the car and not from the back of the car. The piping after the g35 extenstion is rubbing on the rear crossbar thing and I'm getting a lot of vibration on the car. I'm gonna go see Mike (Mikes Muffler) probably Wednesday morning and see if theres a leak or something & see if he can get that pipe from resting on the cross bar thing using a hanger.

Damn that sucks Will...hope everything works out

They had to take off everything from the G35 extension and forward off, and I guess theres a leak or something from the Y to the mid or the Mid to the Extension. After the G extension its sagging a lil bit, so the piping is now resting on that cross bar thing (right below the fx45 sway bar piece) so thats causing the vibrations.

I was cruising at 70mph on the 605 Fwy and I decided to gun it and it jumped from 70 to 110mph easily!!!!!:laugh::smile::smile:
