The ultimate in luxury, power, and offroad ? 8000lbs and 0-60 in 6 seconds? Holy Crap this thing is crazy! Now if it just looked a little better..... I don't like the G wagen.

The AMG engineers swapped the drivetrain from the G63 AMG, featuring a 5.5-liter, twin-turbo V-8 good for 536 hp, mated to a seven-speed transmission, good enough to hustle the 8,300-lb. juggernaut to 60 mph in about six seconds.

AMG splits the torque 30/40/30 among the axles from front to rear for maximum traction, with locking differentials for all 37-inch wheels; the 6x6 can ford water more than three feet deep and its 52-degree approach angle means it will climb most anything short of a sheer cliff face. For desert travels, the tires can be inflated and deflated from a panel in the cabin.

Mercedes plans to build about 20 to 30 of these behemoths starting in October for a price just below the $457,000

MB should have had it be the staring vehicle in WWZ!

I like the regular g wagon as well but for the money there are so many better options in my opinion like the Porsche cayenne turbo

Yea but i think anyone who can afford to buy these would buy it for fun..... Hahahah sad reality but bet they already have a private parking with a private valet

But the Porsche can't do what the G wagen does offroad. The G is actually still a military vehicle and can do amazing things offroad.

I just dont see that many G's around. Every soccer mom here in La Jolla has a Cayenne, GL, or ML though.

Monster insanity, that is no question an amazingly great off-road vehicle. The newest 2013 g has minor changes on the exterior, but the entire interior had a major overhaul. I never cared much for the g until the latest version. However even if I was in the market for one the regular 63 4wd would suffice just fine.
