I do have some swirls left, I tried a few times on the hood and the swirls would not completely go away, do you have any recommendations on a pad/compound combo?
I wouldn't want you to buy some products and not workout for you because these compounds are not too cheap (like $30~$50 per bottle). But if you want to try, I would go with a more aggressive pad (I believe they are the LC yellow pad) and use 3m Perfect it Extra cut rubbing compound or Menzerna SIP (super intensive polish). I use both to remove wet sanding marks or heavy correction. I usually use my rotary with these, but I think I used a PC a few times as well. Anyway, remember that these compounds/polishes will leave micro-swirls of their own, so remember to follow these with a lighter polish (like m205 on white). If this combo doesn't work, you'd need to use the rotary or possibly even wet sand which I wouldn't recommend. The clearcoat on our fx is pretty thin and "soft" compared to other cars (like vette or audi, which is super hard). I have these lying around so you're welcome to come try it if you want before buying them.
