LMS Intake and Technosquare ECU Reflash

guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're getting flashed, dont bother getting the timing adjustment at all. The +2 is just an adjust to the baseline timing. Which means you'll always start @ +2. Then with the crappy CA gas we have out here, as you increase the throttle, my belief is that the timing will retard back to baseline anyway so your motor will fire correctly. When you get flashed, they will adjust your A/F so it will work across the entire rpm range, & likely adjust your timing as they see fit.

I'm not entirely sure of this Dave and I do not know how exactly the +2 and the TS reflash works together. You do bring up a good point Tho. But, we did the +2 at the track and with the BDC at +14 I ran faster 1/4 times then with stock timing. I can't be 100% sure this was all due to the +2 but it did help in my opinion.

that's good to know, but is he parts/sales or service dept? I just got an oil change... (about 700 miles into it) maybe I'll get another before 3k miles:wink: The reason why I ask if he's in service or sales... cuz nowadays... they have to write EVERYTHING up... even to grab a mechanic to come over check out some minor issue that might take him 5 minutes... they want everything to be documented or something, at least that's how it was @ Infiniti of Santa Monica

Jeff @ Covina is parts, but his power there is great. It seems that what he says goes in that place. If he wants to do the +2, he'll take you down to meet the techs & then do it. Like I said, this is a simple deal to do, & ultimately the place wants your business, including servicing your FX. Maybe someone other than the Doc can chime in on this for you. I personally think the +2 is a waste out here in Cali. Mine was pinging at even slight throttle input. It's not an encouraging sound. I would just get flashed, & call it a day. KIM that mines a35, & the 45 may react differently.
