la_fx35, i followed your guide on my 2011 fx35.. my LED does not light up.
contacted KPtech,
this is his response
"Based on a quick review of the DIY you linked to and the service manual for your vehicle the wiring is different between the two vehicles.
To make this module work with your fog lights you need to connect to the Combination Input 5 wire and the Combination Output 4 wire.
As per the link, the Input 5 wire is BROWN Pin 87 in harness 122 (bottom right harness).
However, Output 4 is listed as being a SKY BLUE wire at Pin 146. There is still a WHITE wire at Pin 123 but it is an ignition feedback wire (this may be important to know later for troubleshooting purposes).
The DIY says to connect the KPtech yellow wire (switched ignition power) to a sky blue wire at Pin 146. However, Pin 146 is the Output 4 wire. Instead, perhaps you can connect the KPtech yellow wire to the WHITE wire at Pin 123 (ignition feedback).
Either the 2009 FX35 has inversed these two particular wires from the 2011 or the author of that post has reversed the two connections. I can tell you, based on what I am seeing, the module will NOT work in your vehicle if you have it connected the way the DIY says to. This can quickly be verified by checking for power between the KPtech yellow wire and black wire with a volt meter and verifying there is constant voltage between these two wires when the ignition is on.
At KPtechnologies we stress that EVERY wire should be verified with a volt meter, even when working from DIY or service manuals because there are sometimes mistakes. While it is doubtful that reversing these two wires would hurt either the BCM or the MX20 module it could happen whenever you hook up electronic components improperly."
