Jumbo's custom turbo build

Like I said there doesn't seem to be any immediate damage so I was really just worried for 24 hours. Could have been much worse.

Here is the location of the firewall boot at the back of the battery compartment. I circled it in green.

And to answer your question about the battery - the terminals were not far enough forward to be able to mate with the factory harness terminals. You can see in the above photo that the wires now come from behind the battery rather than in front and the factory 90 degree terminal bends have been removed from the original harness.

You can also fit the combination of Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Luxembourg (about 261,766 sq mi) all within Texas!

I googled this just to get a size comparison. Hey Ray - why don't you get a Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Czech republic, Switzerland and Luxembourg meet together? HA!

Yo jumbo, what's your new fuel mileage like?

Posted from my BlackBerry using BerryBlab

Got the car back yesterday with the new 720CC ID injectors. The shop also fixed a suspension rattle and did some more driveability tuning. Also sent my STB out to get powdercoated black.

It drives great - if not better than ever. Quiet, powerful, smooth... Love it.

As far as mpg's, I'll have to start a new log because of the new injectors but with the previous GTR injectors I ran through about 10 tanks of gas and was sitting right at 14mpg. Both the shop and I think this is a little low but of course I sometimes push it a little. If I could try normal driving for a full tank, maybe it would be better, lol. We'll see what the current setup does and make some adjustments if we are not moving in the right direction. I wouldn't mind turning down the boost a couple psi if that would do it.

Low meaning.....you can drive more economicly or the other way around. Cause i currently have that use now and think it will get worse wih the new set-up coming up.......

low = bad, I'm getting fewer miles per gallon (KpL) with the new set-up and I think most Forced Induction cars are the same as compared to their NA brothers. Rookie mentioned his efficiency didn't change or got slightly better - but he's on the JWT kit which is completely different than the way you and I chose to go. It's not a surprise though - adding power takes fuel.

Ideally and yet realistically, how high do you think the mpg can be with a light foot? If it's small percentage, I say drive it in "fun mode" all the time! The high number would be interesting to know, but I don't think I'd be able to go easy for longer than 1 tank. I send you what will power I have.

Sometimes I put it in D when I want to save power, seems to help a bit, but I still get lower MPG. It's just hard to change your driving style, and doesn't help when you have all that power on tap. :smile (2):

Ok clear.....!! And same here about not being able to change you driving style....i even got kina chizo when i had my BC coilover kit on about 2 months ago. Due to the progressiv springs and schocks the car reacts much better on the throttle.....brakes better also. I'm driving it way more aggresive then i did before :tonguey:
