hey guys
as you may or may not know, since i was discussing it earlier in the year,
Vinnytenracing has a jimwolf TT with a BBK (i think rotora) available for me for under 10K, with some tranny work. if i were to get this done, it would be aroundd the end of my first semester of school (coming up this fall)....
but i was doing some serious searching, and i found that a S/C is a tiny bit cheaper, but is more of a throw-you-back kind of power than the TT. so im going to make an unofficial poll.

go with the slightly used Jim Wolf TT w/BBK for under 10K

or

go with a stillen S/C s2 for APPROX $7,000

i need lots of $$$$$ AKA everyone's $.02

so yeah.... help a brother out while i'm still dellusional from meds:xd:
thanks!!!!!!!!! i need all your smarts

lol.... TT kit will indent the back of the seat with your ass cheeks... the TT's are very torque'y. Vinny Ten does some decent work, very reliable builds/tunes on stock blocks. Every shop has their favorite tuning tool, and I believe Vinny Ten likes to go with the goodies the JWT TT kit comes with, and I've met a guy from there who moved to VA with his TT 350Z (JWT, from Vinny Ten) and he said he beats the poo out of his car all the time and hasn't had any problems on stock block.

i think that theres more you can do with the TT. i guess it has more room for upgrades later. i feel like with the SC you are kinda limited in what you can do. im no expert, but i've certainly read a little about the turbo/SC options.

There was a Mustang that was twin turbo'd and supercharged... it's definitely doable, but not at all very feasible. VERY hard to tune... the best route would be something like the JWT kit and a Stillen kit at the same time with some beefy injectors... or Stillen with STS rear mount kit...

The problem is the positive boost on the supercharger... after a certain RPM the charger is hurting efficiency from the turbo(s).

FI on credit is not a very wise decision considering costs if you *accidentally* blow the motor... now you're already in the hole on the TT kit and then you have to scrape pennies together to get a new motor, either by selling the TT kit for a loss or going further into debt.

yeah man, "toys" & "playing" should be done with EXTRA cash... not to get in debt to do it... not a good move dude..., cubes right, IF you do wind up going kaboom, which is always a possibility, then your really screwed... don't rule that out...

you wanna play you gotta pay... make sure you can before you do...

no i mean im borrowing from my parents:neutral:

but you gutys defff think i should go TTsince the money is there?
Yeah, I figured you were borrowing from the parents... I took out an emergency loan from my momma once.

I think you should slow down in all honesty :4tongue:

If you're going to try and come up with a final solution on the rims, work towards that... take things one step at a time. You'll probably run into extra fees above and beyond what VTR quoted you, things often don't go as planned with FI and you should realize that you have a very good chance of spending much more in areas not previously thought of. Is his quote good for gauges, all tuning, installation, the kit itself, etc?

well its no tlike they'll kill me i've lareayd made 6,000 this summer so im borrowing 2 from them which isnt that bad.

o yeah and i think im gonna take up your offer for my chromes-your stocks painted glossy black....but i wanna make sure theyr ein good condition :)

turbo offered to trade my chromes for his stocks painted black
he made the offer, i said i'de wait until i knew what i was doing. but it's looking good as of now lol

Id definitely go for the JWT TT...no question about it. BTW i'd wait till you have the money in full and some more on the side before you plan to do this..unexpected costs always arise.

well to give the whole story, even thought i soemtimes think twice when i talk about money wiht my family and stuff. but yeah this is the case:

i made 6,000 from working thsi summer
my father offered to pay for half of the TT if my average grade exceeds 3.5 for my first semester of school, durign football and while not having my fx with me at school.
if this works out, i'll technically be spending 4 and then have 2 for flex. the paying back my parents is doing well in school, otherwise bye-bye fx. kind of like making your kid sit on the step, except in this case it not letting me drive. cuz like, the fx is mine but it's still under my parent's name for insurance purposes. and i dont want to sound bratty or anything that's just the way it is. but yeah. i just wanted to make sure our money was going to great use!

thanks for all your helps
