jimwolf TT vs. Stillen S/C

What your power will look like...? I'm assuming that you're intent on installing the JWT TT kit on your stock motor, correct? That depends on how far you plan on pushing your stock block. The max you can possibly get out of that motor for more than a few weeks is about 410 awhp, give or take. This is based on the trial and error from plenty of stock block 350Z's and G35's. Many are happy at 350-400 rwhp on their 6MT's, which would put you, being AWD 5AT, at probably 315-360 awhp... depends on what you want to do. My recommendation is that you don't push the stock block very hard, and be 100% sure about the engine/fuel management you plan on using. I learned that one the hard way. Do some research on what tuning device you plan on using and the person you plan on having the tune done by.

Guys,

Does anyone have any time slips for either the JWT or Stillen SC so I know what $6000-8000 buys me when all is said and done? I want to see the results where the rubber meets the road so to speak.

If they had the JWT TT option when I was putting on my stillen, I would of never got the stillen. Coming from a stillen owner, add a bit more money and get the turbos. Or buy my stillen and I will get JWT:2smile::smile:.

The best I know of for the stillen is mid 14's on an fx. When I went to the track with stage2 I got 14.9. I have since went stage 4 and honestly do not feel that much of a difference....of course I have since put on 22's

I believe the fastest fx 1/4 mile drag time with a jwt tt would be rookie with a time slip of 12.7. You can do a search for it and I think you can find it on this forum somewhere. It was even put on a cover page of one of the auto mags. Also, if you check out the track section of the forum there is a current list of the fastest fx drag times which are all verified.

thread stealer  always happens to me haha.

so guys question: say i get the TT and need some more to make it run better...
if yu had an extra 2K to throw in what would you get/upgrade?

try and putting it towards your stock engine. Is vinny ten gonna build your motor so that it can handle off that new power?

PWR radiator for a G35 will somewhat fit. It has a auto trans fluid reservoir at the bottom. External trans fluid cooler is a good idea as well. Get a camp2, add boost and oil temp sensor since neither of these are available through the OBD-II port. Get a Innovate wideband too.

ROI there seems very low. $6K for mid 14s, barely a second off the stock time?

Yeah, I saw that time under the slips thread. Very impressive. Quicker than a Cayenne Turbo. Now that would be worth the investment imho.

I don't see any real decision here. For only $2K more the JWT appears to be a no-brainer.

keep in mind that in order to do high 12's will take a lot more than just a jwtt, the motor itself is a limiting factor. the stock engine is good to around 400hp or so, to see the kind of #'s that rookie see's will def need a built motor to be able to really take advantage of that tt setup, forget 8K, your looking over 20k to see hp #'s over 500. a jwtt on a stock block will be detuned to keep it from popping. a stock motored fx with a jwtt might be a high 13 second car, still very respectable...

okay so basically put it towards buildig up the engine? i"m pretty sure hes doign some build anyway so mayeb with the extra ill do more building......

so...
-PWR radiator for a G35
-External trans fluid cooler
-camp2, add boost and oil temp sensor
-Innovate wideband

anyone else have any other ideas?
