jdTrader's FX50S :: 2009 Infiniti FX50S

1st set of mods just done:

1. Front 3M 35% tints!
2. New city lights V-LEDS HID 5k!
3. New switch panel!
4. New left and right a/c knobs!
5. Resolved all noises coming from armrest pressure (due to one of the cables rubbing against another cable) and cup holder bottoms rubbing the plastic below it since noticed area in the plastic that was lighter in color from pressure over time!
6. Resolved all faint squeak noises occasionally coming from the center console!

A BIG shout out to Mr. Aaron Fire0nic3! Without his help today and his DIYs, couldn't have done it!

Glad to know I could be of some assistance JD! Everything turned out nice, and the upgraded 2010+ knobs look awesome.

Thanks! Now your turn! :wink (2):

Check out the pic below. The red circles are where I noticed the bottom ends of the cup holders hitting the plastic bottom. I'm sure that would make some sort of noise.

Also, the wires covered in plastic would rug against each other when putting pressure on the arm rest. That is what caused all the noises 100% from the bottom section. I know because I was replicating the noises and as I moved the cables apart every noise went away from moving the armrest up down sideways, etc and moving the whole bottom wood panels sideways. so I laid felt all along the bottom and between the cables where it was making the rubbing noises. I did NOT put felt anywhere else. And those other squeaks as you know were coming from the upper center console on 2009+ FXs.

Looks great Jonas! Doesn't it feel good to crack open a fresh, new and costly ride? :eek.:

Freaked out my wife Kim way way way more than me. For me, it just took 50 times longer than it should have because I was being extremely cautious and meticulous. I could see all the stuff I did being done in an hour, but I think I took half a whole day and took lots of computer breaks lol.

I couldn't have gone through it all and been as calm as I was if it wasn't for Aaron's 75 text messages throughout the whole process lol. There are some great people on this site including you guys! If definitely felt awesome doing something yourself though...I always wished that I was more handy with cars. It's hard to learn without a good coach.

Now if you can figure out a web cam scenario where you strap it on your head so we can see what you're doing, we can walk you through any mod :smile (2):

That's such a great idea. Imagine if we all had these and had live wed cam sites where we can tune into mods, maintenances, etc!!! Now that would be revolutionary on a forum!!!

haha yeah that would be an awesome idea!

The console is a little scary taking apart, but if your careful their shouldnt be any problems. Worse case scenario is more rattles turning up lol which shouldnt happen if it's taken apart and put back together the right way. You have a better chance having something damaged by letting the dealership do it because they don't care if they scratch or damage things.

First time I took it off to get access to the av unit it took about 30 minutes.. Had to go back to solder the wires and the second time was litteraly 5 minutes max.. These things are new and once you know how it works your confidence goes up and the scariness of it goes away.. that is until you hear SNAP!

Pics of sub install.Requirements:- Full cargo, full trunk, fully reclined seats, and allow seat release.- No bolts or cuts so can be easily returned to factory and easy removal to get to spare.- 600 RMS class d amp and 2 farad cap inside spare, secured, and removable easily as one unit just like the OEM Bose sub so access to spare.8109c773.jpg7693f30e.jpg
