'12+ FX Chrome Foglight trim pieces came in - did a DIY

Cost me $100 shipped and a half hour of work. Not too bad.
I think it updates the front nicely - flows a bit better from angles since there's the big chrome piece on the bottom of the side of the car.

So I'm not sure if I like it more or less....surprisingly I think I like it more even though at first I remember everyone on iS said those chrome pieces look horrific when the 2012 FX came out but yours looks good, so this leaves me perplexed.

I'm going to take some low-light pictures - the direct sunlight was killing it.

I just think with all the chrome all over this ties it together and gives it the updated Nissan/Infiniti look that the 2012+ models are going for. "euro"

Gave the FX a wash and a quick spray wax for the first time doing it myself since august (havent had time otherwise, and the weather has sucked)
Also, if you didn't notice. Tail Lights are now tinted. May be a bit too dark for me. I was trying to only tint them to get that dark-red "euro" look.












Gives an idea of the tail color at different angles. Wish it was a bit lighter, but let's see if it grows on me.
I also noticed the clear is coming off of my wheels - going to repaint them when I get home for the summer. - a tiny bit darker this time.

Not sure. Brought them to a place nearby, helped take them out, and he did the spray job. Just said it was a "spray" for tinting, and he also did clear coat. Said it was not VHT Nightshade, however. I suspect it is simply the same thing by a different name judging on the coloring, but it came out great.

same. The wheels lost some clear and look a little more grey/blue than before the winter. A few nicks etc also so need to respray this summer.

Thanks. I agree. was going for more of a euro red look but I think with whatever he used he needed to put a certain amount of coats on to get it even (I'm guessing)

JB! I'm loving it! You sir, have one classy ass FX! I am looking to tint my tails as well and I was on the fence also about the chrome rings. When we first picked up our 2012, I thought they didn't look good at all. Now a year later I really like them. It's a subtle difference but looks great. I think my next two projects will be the rear skirts (that you have) and tinting the taillights. Again, great looking whip bud!

Thanks guys. Summer weather is here so the mod bug keeps biting. Also I've been wanting to get rid of the FX but then every time I do something little to it it "revamps" my attraction to it for a while. Will prob do a few things this summer but nothing huge
