should have some nice pics to post after we detail the truck lol. see you like what, next week!
yup the 26th the day before the meet
Are those stillen or kinetix HFCs? I just put on Kinetix HFCs with non-foulers! They are awesome for the price! Great sound...not obnoxious....butt dyno likes em and no CEL at all! Did it in two-hrs in my garage with an injured hand. One of my favorite mods so far.
Kinetix
Finally, Jordan! Been waiting for the write up before I pull the trigger on mine. Still looking at some Berks.
The ones you posted - used?
I opted for these kinetix after I heard them on my firend's gsedan....they sound nice! vid will be up tonight.....
and they were used for a 2 hour drive then taken off because they were too loud with the stillen gen2 exhaust....so I sniped em for about 100 less than brand new... they are basically brand new....
i'll post up a write up in a bit
---------- Post added at 08:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:05 PM ----------
so yeah....guy posted them for sale on g35nyc.com said he put them on, drove for a few hours, and took it off ecause with the stillen gen2 exhaust it is way too loud for him....so there are barely any miles on them....so i picked them up for $315. The guy lived 15 minutes away so i picked them up, drove back to my area, and headed straight for the local muffler shop that did my friend's full custom exhaust on his G37s
so first, we have the new cats
KINETIX

put it up on the lift

took a peek at the old cats...can you say rust?

(o2 sensor)

after about 45 minutes of trying to remove the old cats...we finally get those suckers off....it involved a blowtorch, hammer, and some various other tools. In case you were wondering, you need to go from the engine bay and from underneath to get to the studs....We ended up snapping one of my muffler hangers in the process from yanking around the old cats(the one that hadn' snapped yet) so we had to fix that too...these are the guys whoa re fixing my exhaust when it gets warmer out...but anyway...back to the cats.
removed the old ones (which happen to be about 5x the weight of the new ones)

process of putting th enew ones in, after 20 minuites of reaching the studs from the engine bay and the bottom at the same time

all bolted up and ready to go

fortunately the 02 sensors weren't THAT rusty in comparison..otherwise i might have needed to buy a new one for each.....
price of installation? $150
so i basically got cats and the install for the price of the same cats brand new....and these are basically brand new. so new that the studs and botls they came with were still shiny...:tonguey:
videos will be up tonight
