INTERIOR LIGHTING ISSUE **HELP**

Sad to hear that it did not work out, dealers must be retarded which such advice?!
As far as i came is that the TICM is controlled by the BCM, maybe a try to see if another BCM does the trick?
Guessing there will be no shorts in the harness itself caused by a damaged wire or so but more likely a controller that simply does not do what is supposed to.
Think these things can not be tested or so, so for them to say replace the whole lot is the easiest way, likely the cheapest as well compared to x-amount of man hours to source the fault.
But not the story the end user wants to hear for sure.

Regarding my car: I partially lowered the headliner and found that the whole roof (the metal) had drops of water...some serious condensation.
I did also find that the drain line of that particular corner of the sun roof was blocked, after some water/compressed air that is fully open again.
Yes i did check the hose is still connected.
Also no water or traces of it were found in the "pockets" of the backside of the headliner, so no water has been pouring down, just all condensation i guess.
I left the car with one of these moisture catchers, 1 kilo of desiccant in there so hopefully when i get home all water is in there.

Anyone ever solve this? Im looking at no headliner lights but all other lights are working. My BCM has a few spliced wires not sure what the previous owner did but I checked continuity on all of them and the splices are working fine. Im gonna look at the ticm next. I redid the wire harness myself and so not looking forward to do it again

Update for everyone, the TICM is always the culprit, there is a relay switch in there that is either faulty due to the leaking sunroof drain or just bad design in general. You can audibly hear the relay click when moved around and each click either means your lights are working or they dont. I thought I solved my issue with a new ticm but securing it to the trim and leaving it under the glove is not a stable enough position. Currently I have it ziptied to the back of the dash at a specific angle to where the relay doesnt switch my lights off. It mostly works now but eventually going to need to figure something else out. Shame that these cars come with such a annoying flaw. I may eventually just reroute all these lights to its own 12v circuit.

@Cheloz28 @Butane i made an account just so i could post haha.

YES TICM is indeed always culprit. Back last year, i had done an improper job when replacing battery and water got through the windshield seal on lower cowl. I had to replace the blower motor cause it shorted but TICM back then got some water in which i dried out and it worked on. However this month it died out of nowhere, it was dry this whole time. I feel like that water ingestion one time slowly killed it.

I took it apart and took the chip out from the TICM body and cleaned everything with alcohol and fine brush but it did not work. So i ordered a new part from ebay and yes it did work indeed. Everything is back to normal now.

Such a pain that they could not just hook up lights to a better system of better yet if you make something so expensive maybe locate it in a better place with more weatherproofing. My damage was my fault but there are lots of people who have had theirs go bad due to leaking sunroof or A pillar.

Anyway, if you are reading this now, YES replace a TICM if you are having issues with cabin lights but everything else is working.
