When mine was installed the loweri kick plate panel on the passenger side had to be removed along with the entire glove box assembly. You need to do this to get to the body control module (BCM) to wire the impact sensors to that.

No need to remove the glove to get to the bcm; just need to remove the lower panel (where it says infiniti) and the passenger kick panel... The manual for the install does show the mounting point as behind the glove... I imagine you can mount this thing anywhere you want as long as it's safe, solid, and the vibration is minimized.

Dealer removed my glovebox during the install.
That really sucks. Hope insurance will take care of the damage.

Does the sensor detect a shock to the car and not just the window? I just paid my $500 deductible for the same thing. Except the stupid thief sliced my door open instead. My door was stuck shut and windows were still up.
