Infiniti Security flaws!!!

Yeah there is no window breakage sensor. If you want that you must purchase the OEM vehicle impact sensors and have them installed by the dealer.

Will purchase and ask how much for the dealer to install...opens wallet...:eek.:. I'll have my A/V shop install it, they're great knowledgeable guys and a lot cheaper than the dealer's rate.

I have it installed on mine. I forget how much I paid but it cost like $60 something for the sensor and like $100 to install. Really cheap too. It has like 10 sensitivity settings. It even sets off the alarm if the car is jacked up if someone tries to steal your rims. It responds to any vibration or impact made to the car.

Well you can also put the key in the door lock and turn the key the other way to get the windows to roll down.

Their is an easy fix to this though. Just don't leave you car parked in some ghetto area like what the original poster did, and it'll solve your problems lol

:tup::tup::tup:

Lol did you get your door fixed? How did the results come out? Post pics! Haha

Yep, they really did a good job like it never happened. It took them almost a week to fix it. It cost $1987.44 the mechanism for the door lock was most expensive part of the damage. I have never seen that Mall again after the incident!

Damn, I would never think that one door costs that much to fix on our cars. The lock mechanism must of been ridiculously expensive then lol.

Did the body shop respray the scratch shield clear coat?

hmm..I didn't know I could install glass sensors after the fact..did you just order them from the dealer?$60 is cheap.

Yah you can bro. Their real easy to install. You only need to tap into like two wires in the body control module for the impact sensors to work. A dealer did it for me. Around $60 plus $100 for installation is cheap for a better piece of mind. I ordered from the dealer and they installed them.

Is this flaw only on the 2nd gen or on the 1st gen too?

This flaw is on all cars that the windows can roll down with the key in the lock. So yes it effects the first gen too. Even Audi's, Lexus, etc etc. They all use this.

If anyone is interested in buying the OEM impact/glass breakage sensors, you can buy them here from Beshoff Infiniti on eBay:

Only $56.....not bad :-)

They only make them for the second gens. I don't think the 1st gens BCM supports the impact sensor box.

That's why i had an alarm with a pager put in my 06 fx. Remote start and cell phone functions/alerts.

Does anyone have instructions on how to install this $56 impact sensor?
This is a must have option for anyone with a 09/10 FX!

Nope don't know. All I know is that you tap into a couple of wires in the body control module. Maybe the impact sensors come with instructions.

Here are the instructions for impact sensor installation:

Go to www.infiniti-techinfo.com

There is a “Available Products” drop down menu about mid way on the left.
Select Accessory Installation Instructions.
Select your vehicle then year.
Click EL:Electrical.
Then click EL: Vehicle Alarm Impact Sensor_FX_999M2 VW002.

Looks pretty easy and cheap... Taps into the same BCM as the mirror led turn signal mod. Something to do over the summer.
