It is a hybrid, so IMO it's not on the same level as a Tesla. I believe porkandbeans was the first to make me aware of that as he handed me a taillight assembly from one.

I thought the same thing forever, too. I always thought they were directly competing with Tesla. Maybe that was the original plan, but it was changed? Fisker has been on the edge for awhile now. Will be interesting to see if they make it.

fisker uses a 2.4L turbo motor to power the electric motors....
Tesla is not doing huge volume with their cars being EV.
so Infiniti really is almost a monopoly if they bring out the EV as planned. Thats' the point of it.
If they really want to build oen to compete with the Tesla, the Emerge-E concept is there

Pros: the charging pad, the trick little door handles, and I love the glass roof
Con: Just a little too small looking from the outside for me. I assume the interior comfort proves different.
