Is your dashboard bubbling?

Talked to them today. Things are looking good. They asked me to send pictures of my dash with the bubbling. I will keep you guys posted.

With the exception of szj2020, is there anyone who has this problem that doesn't live in an extremely hot climate like SoCal, Texas, or Florida?

szj2020, did your FX come from somewhere with a really hot climate before you bought it?

Of course I have heard of the dash bubbling problem but isn't the cracking bolster seat leather a more widespread issue? Based on the case I assume the dash replacement and the dash repair is a higher ticket scenario than fixing the seats. Interesting to see how this will play out, class action suits normally associate themselves with much larger bodies of consumers, like thousands of bubbling dash cases (or more) here. If it does go down I hope the dash repairs are covered. Typically after the class suit the settlement funds are distributed to the supporting attorneys first (meetings, travel time, everything is covered for them first). If the suit pool is relatively small, they will get what they get and you may receive a $20.00 check, a bottle of glue and a set of instructions on how to re-adhere your dash.

I think that's still better than dealer telling you that you are on your own and he don't mind taking your $50K for the car, but the bubbling dash is not his problem.

Not going to argue that, the dealer should make it right. I was wondering if the lead attorney in the proposed suit owns an FX ;)

The dash has already been recalled just go to the dealership if you need a new one and the SHOULD hook you up

freaking SWEET, Just talked to Tustin Infiniti. They said to bring in my FX, they'll order up a dash and call me when its in. They will also supply a loaner car.

Mine was just replaced last week. Started with one big bubble at the drivers' side last year and then came another then a lot.Mines' still under warranty so wasn't worried that much.I'm from Tampa btw.

I got a notification from Inifiniti on Friday that they are extending the warranty on the dash on all 1st gen FX's. I knew some had had a problem but honestly hadn't paid attention to how much of a problem it really is. Cool that they issued a warranty extension though. They even said in the letter that they would reimburse expenses paid by owners out-of-pocket to fix the problem in the past... even if you no longer own the FX
