Infiniti FX Lowering Springs

H&R Springs

I must say after a week of driving the Fx with the H&R springs, I love them and so does my wife. Her comment was it was less bumpy (compared to stock sport package springs).

I love my H&Rs:top:

on a side note, I wonder since the stock springs are so stiff, wouldn't cutting them be softer (little more bounce) and obviously lower. We used to cut springs back in the day when we we kids (also lack of after market springs) and it was ok. At long as you do a cold cut.

Anyways, love the ride comfort now. my 2 pesos (probably worth more than 2 cents now)

Yeah, I totally agree with you Merchant. I think it's a much better ride and handles better. I love taking fast off ramp curves. hhahahaha.

Main thing is that your wife noticed. Lots of women don't notice things like that. Trust, I know. lol

if you cut a stiff spring it'll get stiffer, not the other way around... better to cut the h&rs, you'll have to cut less, raising the spring rate less... 1/2 coil still rides nice, thinking of trying another half though:smile:

thanks for the reply. I think your right about the stock springs.

Cut some more :ooh:, hopefully you are keeping the stock struts/shocks in mind. They made leak/ break?! I know KYB has replacements, not sure on availability.

I totally agree with you, I just put my H&R's on about a week and a half ago and I could not be happier  They are definitely a lot smoother than the stock springs  Plus they make the car look a lot different, especially with 22's :top:

Merchant...I'm in the same boat as you. It's been 1 wk since I dropped my 45 on H&Rs, couldn't be any happy. Mine's probably a bit stiffer than yours because I cut 1/3 off the front springs. Ride is still very nice, but the new 22's added some road noise to the equation.

very nice rims:top:

I had spacers put in also, but i will wait a few weeks before I get my alignment. Even though it wants to got right just a tad on the freeway.

looking good. looks like the H&Rs are taking over. We need another poll.:nerd:

hey Will~

Really?! So my 65k miles struts can support the lowering springs?
Usually, when should I get new struts? 100k miles?

I would get them when they break... lol

or if you have money burning in your pocket.

Actually KYB makes ones for our cars are pretty reasonable from what I read. You may want to do a search, cause I read someone just did them.

I think someone posted that deal up in our Ebay thread - looks like Chester won them.
