Infiniti FX Lowering Springs

well right now im running 265/40/22 but i think i might change my wheel set up soon. still up in the air -- going to wait and decide what to do after tax season. plus i'm saving up for a trip to China so i can go see the Olympics in August so not much modding this year :frown:

I just ordered my set of H&R's from tire rack today.

$249 + shipping + duties + Ontario Tax = a smile on my face.

when i ordered they said their availability was 4 left as of last night, so there still might be one or two sets left if anyone wants them.

That's awesome man, cause I just ordered mine today too at lunch.
awesome! are you planning on running spacers or what?

i dont think im going to get spacers rather just wait till i can afford wheels which will have a proper offset. spacers + install = money that could go towards new wheels.

Those were exactly my thoughts too. I dont want to fuss with them and would rather run some nice wheels with the proper offset to get a nice stance. After looking at wheels for some time I think I do want to save up and get some 22x10 and 305/35/22 like Doc. I just love the look of them.

This posting came in handy. Lots of good info from Viet and the rest of you.

I think I'm going to lean more towards the H&R's now when I am ready to install.

Thanks for all the info.

Just installed mine. Ride quality is great, much smoother. Havent had a good look at it from a distance, but so far so good. Oh ya, dont get them done at a dealership, and I know you all are gona say 'I could've told you that!' but I was getting service done any way. It cost me almost twice as much as anywhere else was quoting. :frown:

 I'm working on it bro. I spent 4 hrs last night detailing it for today and it ends up snowing this morning and melting right away so it's already brown!!! Not a good day. Once the roads dry up again, I'll get some before and afters.

Swapped out the Eibach lowering spring yesterday and replaced with H&R's. First impression with not much driving on them was yea, a bit softer ride. Better over the bumps to were the Eibach's were getting on my nerve's, stiff. I'm not sure if the H&R's need to settle but i'm now sitting higher (not as low) as with the Eibach's and the front springs are cut. Visually I can tell and because I can fully wash inside the wheel wells again......yes I scrub the wells.

On the way home from LMS I took my usual off ramp (?-mark shape) aggressive as I do sometimes. With the Eibach's I could slow down then drop into 2nd and take the turn feathering the throttle . Yesterday with the H&R's I did the same but needed to brake through the turn, no throttle.Top heavy feeling and body roll was scary. I hope this is a fluke and the springs need to settle.

I'm happy with the ride quality as of just a few miles driving but hope they lower and handle better as the days go on. If the H&R's stay soft through the turns would I go back to the Eibach's for handling over a better overall ride? I would like to get the GTSpec bars first and make a decision from there....Eibach were annoying to everyone that rode in the FX.

LOL, the last one to say anything was last week and it was my 9yr old daughter. She was doing her homework on the way home from school and make a comment under her breath that she couldn't write, the car is too bumpy.:embarrassed:

were your eibachs cut? your saying that the h&r's cut are softer than the eibachs uncut? & the eibachs were lower & stiffer?

Eibach's were not cut but I had them installed in 2005 so over time they settled purdy nice. Only the front springs are cut on the H&R's. The rear is higher than the front noticeably but both front and rear are not as low as the eibach's were after 3 years of use.
I should of took before and after pic's like I planned.:squigglemouth:
