Infiniti FX Lowering Springs

Viet, they look pretty low to me.

Here are a few pictures from the day the eibach's were installed to a few months later and present. I think the the front have lowered significantly from the initial install but the rears have not as much. I love the slight raked look my FX has right now. But due to the difference in wheels and tires there may be some bias as to the perception. But even with the new wheels and tires the oem tire height of the FX was maintained.

It should be the same part number as previous years, I don't think the suspension configuration has changed much over the years. Probably some shock/strut changes but nothing that would make the spring configurations any different.

This is a much better way to get a little more of a drop without changing the springs. There isn't anything to shave in the front.

well next week i want to order my lowering springs -- i'm just worried that i'll rub w/ my 15mm offset rims 22x9.5 and cut half a coil off of the h&rs.... anyone w/ my low offset have any issues?

I am pretty sure Min is running 25mm spacers on his stock 20" rims (which gives it a 15mm offset) with no problems with his H&R's

The sidewall bulge needs to be accounted for when thinking about the rubbing. RideOrDie is running a 285/35-22 on a 9.5" +15 set up. This is less sidewall bulge than a 305/35-22 on a 10" and less sidewall bulge than a 285/35-22 on a 9" that are common.

Just shave it Kenny. Jack it up, remove the plastic fender piece and use a power or air tool and shave the excess metal. Viet shaved mine with air tools and then I had a little more shaved with some power tools. I still rub from time to time but it doesn't eat the tire anymore. And like Viet said the right tire choice will also help.

yeah, you can roll the metal & then cut the plastic... I'd avoid cutting the metal to avoid rust & avoid having a sharp edge, rolled is smooth edge so even if you got an ocational touch it wouldn't cut the tire at all.

even if you roll it, it's not a bad idea to fill the gap with some seamsealer to avoid crap collecting in there & causing rust down the road...
