This totally sucks that mine doesn't have a power liftgate. Mine only pulls the trunk in with power but won't open it with power.

Once the part numbers are available, I'm going to find a way to retrofit this onto mine. But telling how expensive Infiniti parts usually are, the trunk motor, pull bar, switches, and wiring, I think it would be real expensive lol.

Oh and I forgot to mention you probably get different keyfob's now to control the trunk opening/closing.

What I'm getting from this is.. 2gen haven't being selling as well as the 1gen so infiniti decided to add more features and lower the price..

..still not attractive enough for me to trade my baby for a new one..

Im sure when they go ahead with thhe face lift new engines will be available. Either all black or white with the trim painted is cool. Just cant justify a new one as of yet.

Maybe 2012, it took them 3 years before they updated the 1gen a bit.

Why can't they just have a turbocad edition?

Jhon hasn't get in touch with them yet.. Lol.

On the real tho I think viet,John and huberto(lol) should call infiniti's FX designer department and set them up straight!!

2nd gen style not selling

Exactly. Our Iconic FX has now dropped in units sold since the 2nd gen came on the market. Infiniti (Ben Poore!) wake up, and refresh the design of the FX !

It's not what the current FX offer's that's lowered sales of it. It doesn't need a refresh. It's the way they market their vehicle's in general. Infiniti has poor marketing concept. They did a total of three different commercials when the 2nd gen FX came out. After 2 months of that they stopped trying to market it on TV like all of their other cars. Everytime they release a new car or refresh one, they do a few commercials then stop. Every time I turn on the TV, I see a Lexus commercial advertise like over 30 times a day on TV. And that's just on one channel. Lexus advertises on almost every local channel, and puts up billboards everywhere around here. With Infiniti I'll see a commercial every now and then.

Seriously Infiniti needs to stop slacking and start advertising more. One thing I learned about owning a business is in order to get more customer's, you need to get your product out there more. Show everyone what your product has to offer that other companies don't. ATTRACT POTENTIAL BUYERS!!

If they did a commercial with the FX, and showing how their "distance control assist" technology works, people seeing it on TV wouldn't believe it. It literally looks like a ghost is driving the car cause it pushes the brake pedal and moves the gas pedal all it's self and seriously almost drive's the car itself. It's truly eye catching in person. Lexus marketed their self parking guidance system like that when they released it, and marketed the hell out of it. That's why almost everyone I know knows about the self parking system.

It was nice to see Infiniti host the entire Grammy's, and to see celebrities arriving in the new 2011 QX56, but it still isn't enough.

I know where you are coming from.. Infiniti doesn't advertise their products as much as other brands. But also their new designs are not so " eye catchy". I remember also seeing like 3 comercial about the 1gen FX. But that didn't stop the awesome design from selling.. IMO is a mix of both advertising + design. I mean seriously I think they could have done much better when designing the new FX and the new QX..

i wont lie the new design look awesome on the M and G series.. but they pushing it too far on the FX and QX.. they trying to make all their vehicles look the same.. some of the new curves and line dont really go with these Vehicles.. i have heard from plenty of 09-10 fx owner.. they love he interior and performance but they havent get used to the exterior design.. Does the new FX need a refresh..? yes it does.. they need to re design the from facia as soo as possible. in my opinion they just went too far/futuristic with that design.. if they just simply would have grabbed the 1Gen and do a wide body kit.. improve the engine, brakes, suspencion and drivetrain.. all the old FX owner would just simply trade their old FX for the new one.. thats why bunch of old FX owner are just doing the same thing Holding on to their precious gem. the only way i get rid off my 2005 FX would be for a 2008 one..
