how to install paddle shifters

not ready yet, gotta get some plates cut. instead of doing seperate group buys all over the place I might just do them all from here at first, would be tough to keep up with a bunch of different forums especially since production will be limited, once these hit all the different nissan/infiniti forums demand might be a lot. I'll post up when I have everything to start building these... maybe some time in december...

:iS: Members get priority right John? Maybe Supporting members get more priority huh?

yeah man, this is home, suporting members are family, I'll start a list here first before even announcing it anywhere else, but not many fx's seem to even be so hot for these really...

then, ripplinghurst is a buddy from mp3car, after all the work he did with rgb interface & battling with dual sync rgb signals in his infiniti he's gotta at least wind up with a set of these too

I'm down for this too when they might be avail. Nice work there buddy!

yeah bro, I def will still make these, I just got so deep with my headlight group buy that these just went on the side until I fulfill my obligations there. once that batch of headlights goes out I will go full force on these paddles & getting them produced & I should be able to supply as many of these as necessary, as i will gear more up for mass producing them. I already know that any prediction I make as far as time frame will not be useful because I can't really know exactly when, but I will def make these & have them available, I think I can sell a lot of these across several platforms, not just the fx... I'm sorry for the delays, I just have so many things that I want to do but just not enough hours in the day :err:

No rush at all. Didn't mean to come off like I'm rushing you. I was just curious if you were still going to work your magic on these babies. We all know you got a lot on your plate. Patience I have.

Not to worry, I want the v2 paddles in the near future and will be pushing him to start!

I had these sitting in the garage for almost a year. I just installed these today.....
all the instructions Turbo put on here are dead on. Thanks John - and thanks for the additional help for my oversights.....

man what else you got in that garage!:tonguey: so many mods installed lately.... paddle shifter mmmmm yummmy

I'm guessing to "activate" the paddle shifters you have to put the shifter into the manual mode position? Can you still use the shifter manually with this mod...you know for old times sake? :-)

yes, you can still use it & even use it simultaniously if you wanted too. no, they don't get in the way at all, never heard any complaints of the nissan placement, there perfect.

I drove a friends 335i for a bit, & it has paddles, but built into the wheel. also has it so either hand can do up or down... SUCKED!!! the nissan setup is really ideal & becomes as natural as using the turn signals, wipers, the lights or the horn to me...

Yes, the shifter needs to be in manual and yes you can still shift with it for old times sake. Haha. I had turbo reverse the shift pattern too so now I pull back to upshift and push forward to downshift. Best of both worlds.

Really? You like it reversed? Mazda has it set up like that too. Dodge has their shifter go right for upshift and left for downshift...I can't get used to either of them.
