So I'm driving along at 70 up a slight grade and all of the sudden it feels like my car got hit with a giant baseball bat. Imagine if you were accelerating under full throttle, you pushed in your clutch pedal (in a manual) and then released the clutch without ever letting off the gas. It's really hard to describe the feeling but it was as if for a split second, all power was robbed from the car and then added back in at full force. Sort of like a misfire, but 10X more powerful.
Then about a minute later (same conditions), this happened like 5X in a row, it felt like my car was a bucking bronco but at freeway speed. I thought it was the coil packs, so I replaced all of those plus the spark plugs.
Now, this happened again at lower speeds. I turned the car off and now it won't start again . There is a P1757 code, which is related to the transmission front brake solenoid, but all the info I read about that seems like people have tranny problems with going into gear or or sluggish performance. I have neither.
Any thoughts?
BTW- the car, a 2004 FX35, does have 238K on it with 60K on a rebuilt motor. Also, the mile are mostly highway as I have a put on like 20K miles a year on the freeway.
