chicago guys, do any of you recommend or prefer a shop that does exhaust installations? i prolly need them to weld stainless as well. Just thought id ask here before i do some searching and calling. thanks!

If you want stainless steel fillings, Nortown Automotive, http://www.nortown.net/. They charge me $100 to weld the two tips.

thanks andy...well ive had pieces of an invidia lying around for a while now..just havent had time to install them. i only bought the end muffler part and some piping but its missing the rest so i need someone to fab me up some pipes (hopefully wont get too expensive). Ill post some pics of it tmrw

Ouh, I hope the pieces you picked is low enough to offset the cost of custom bend and fab of stainless steel pipes.

Andrew (Blueduck) came out to me to get his Bose sub a boost and widen his track with 25mm H&R Trak Spacers. Here are some pics of the install.

Gotta say, that Bose boost does play out really well. Very noticeable bass increase :good:

Always a treat going to Andy's and watching him work! The Bose boost did turn out pretty good though. Noticeably a harder hit on the bass.

And the spacers add a nice look to the car can't lie about that glad I finally got that out of the way!

Wow, nice work again! The spacers make such a huge difference in looks and do you notice it handling a little different too? The Bose boost mod is cool, I would like to do that one day. Do you notice the mod effect any other parts of the stereo or sound quality?

It's to increase the Bose subwoofer bass output basically.

Im pretty satisfied with how wide it stands now. 25mm is a significant increase form where I was and 25mm gives me good options down the road ... 30mm may have been restricting

No Peter, I have a set of 25mm that I use with winter setup.

Last week I surprised :ninja: Andy with a secret mod. We changed out the two front dash corner speakers with Boston Acoustics 35S speakers and Boy Ol' boy I can tell a difference the sound is way more crisp. Can you make changes like this without having to update/upgrade the headunit? I thought no?

^ Can we just buy the two speakers and just do a swap without getting too involved? Is the stock amp powerful enough to handle these?

Yep Chris did a Ninja me. It was a like a pit stop for some new speaker and he was on his way to another meet. The speakers were a simple swap. I think the OEM amp should be able to handle them just fine.
