So while Chris (FX45Chicago) was recovery from a knee surgery, he ask me to work on his car. I laid Dynamat Extreme and installed sub. Here are some pics of the install.

Here are what I will be installing into Chris FX45.


Dynamat Extreme





Rip open the center console, cut the backing, drill the hole to mount the remote bass knob.






Running a power cable to the hatch to power the amp.



Dressing up the naked Wicked CAS Magic sub box





Mount the Alpine PDX-M6 on a carpeted MDX board that can fit into the center of the spare



Tada, here the finished look.



Gotta say the JL pushes some really deep bass. It rattle the car by just turning the bass knob a quarter of the way with the head unit bass control set at middle.Chris set up got me looking for a JL to replace my Rockford Fosgate for sure. Debating if I should replace my Alpine amp as well. Chris set really had me think of swapping out what is in my trunck now!

Nothing new! Andrew and I spent 6 leisure hours on installing the Transgo Shift kit, GTSPEC Mid Chassis Brace and Rear Lower Lateral into his 2007 FX45. Here are some pics of the Transgo install. I can't wait to install it into my FX45 this weekend. I originally plan to have mine done too before tackle Andrew's, but things came up that I have to postpone my install.

Nice, that trans go kit is a must do if it is anything like the B&M shift kit I installed in one of my cars years ago. The kit looked similar.
Let us know your what your opinion of the kit is after you get to try it a few times Andrew.

Ah Transgo... quite possibly the "one" mod I didn't do. It was on my to-do list and was going to pay Andy to do it. I guess Andy can just pay himself=)

Yep, the Transgo was the only mod wasn't on the 45 before I took ownership. It will be on this weekend!

chicago guys, do any of you recommend or prefer a shop that does exhaust installations? i prolly need them to weld stainless as well. Just thought id ask here before i do some searching and calling. thanks!
