Handy_Andy's Mini Meets

Ok cool, thanks for checking. It's good that your eager to help, because I know that you're going to apply all of this to your suede redo

Hey Andrew, with regards to the visors, I took a look at mine this morning and it looks like you can pry it into two pieces.. If you want to wrap it perfectly, I would do each piece separately..

I'm a little late on the Sub reply, but holy crap Handy Andy, that subwoofer is HUGE.

Ian, I noticed you keeping your eyes safe with sunglasses during the meet. I'm still going to hit you up to dye my eyes blue.

Yeah, I'm so excited about that sub. Been waiting for the Rockford Fosgate P300-1 Amp and the remote EQ control to arrive. Still have not been able to decide where to locate the Amp, its between under the passenger seat since I don't have OEM NAV and the spare tire where the BOSE sub is currently.

Ian did took his sunglasses off and roll up his sleeves later on yesterday. Ended up forgot his sunglasses at my place. He would of remembers them if the sun still up!

Jonas was nice to offer to let me try his spare on, but no time for that yesterday and my car is on the drive inclined.

Mount it where the OEM satellite receiver would go, right above the OEM bose amp. Drivers side rear trunk area.

Save that space under the passenger seat for more toys...

I had the same issue, I think maybe it's from the side airbags? I can't remember if you have to unplug that harness or not. I just checked all the connections, and reset it. Light never came back.

We did not finish. Only the headliner and A pillars were put back in. Should be getting some more done today. Still have some painting to do and the visors will be the most tedious part of the job. After starting the car, the airbag light is on and blinks now. Not sure what happened or why it's doing that.

Just wanted to thank everyone that went and eventually helped, lol. Turned out really nice! Everyone's hands had a piece of my headliner.

Headliner looks great, great meet, loved getting together with you guys. And again, makes me eager to do more mods! lol Thanks for the shots Andy.

your car looks amazing with the tint, especially the front windshield. I caught myself staring when you were rolling up to Andy's house.

White suede?? =)

Thing is, we didn't disconnect any harnesses that connected to the side airbags. Pretty certain of that. I guess I'll pull the headliner down today and recheck. I do kind of remember there's this big harness that's not plugged in near the driver side visor, where the card holder slot it. I don't think that one is the visor harness either because that's smaller and more to the left. So maybe there are two unplugged harnesses there.

I wonder how this would look if you just pulled the headliner and changed only that to black suede.

The rest of that stuff is too much work=)

No, that plug is plugged in. It power all the lights in the headliner and sun roof. Need to check the rear hatch area above the rear seats where the side airbag current is powered.

I like that thought.
Hahaha, next Sunday.... Ed goes brunette?

you have time on Wednesday afterwork? If so, I'm there... I don't have any suede or glue, you'll have to take a joy ride with me to get it.

Ooh no, I'm too old for pulling an all nighter on mod. Start a headliner mod at 4:30 in the afternoon is not such a great idea Ed,

Better not let his wife find out! :zip:
 Ooh, I sure she gonna like it. She would probably tell me sleep in garage for the night then.

Don't do just the headliner. When I first got it done, I did the headliner and A, B, C pillars. I didn't paint the grab handles or the dome light area because I was trying to find a matching paint. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look as finished as it could.

I wonder how this would look if you just pulled the headliner and changed only that to black suede.

Hey shadow, we checked again and did not notice any harnesses unplugged. Can't imagine any airbag harnesses ever being touched to begin with. What do you mean by resetting it? Even disconnected the battery for two hours or so, but the airbag light still blinks. Really stumped here.
