Handy_Andy's Mini Meets

 I completely forgot about taking pictures yesterday of my high output alternator installation at Speed Motion Performance. Your cousin is so cool to chat with. Since the one he put in on mine cranks out 160 amp (103 amp OEM), he looked at my cable and said I can use existing wire, so no new cable. Your's cranks out 190 amp (110 amp OEM) for the FX45.

Me too. My POP went off and some other warnings I've never heard before. Also Highway mode is definitely more sensitive. There's a cop that likes to hide in this particular spot on my way to work. This morning he was there again and on highway mode, it was almost 1/4 mile warning in advance than in auto mode.

Hahaha. I do notice in highway mode is more sensitive all around.I think the updated software cause the slowness in getting GPS signal. Before the software update, the GPS signal was detected like about 5 second I back out onto the street. Now it take almost a minute or more to receive GPS signal for the speed display to work. You guys notice that?

Wow what a difference the springs made. 25 mm spacers (smaller investment for now, lol) on all four corners will give you a better stance and the wheel gap will look even smaller too. :smile (2):

Andrew, I think Andrew did order the spacers. Did you yet, Andrew? Also, 9500ix comes with a red display now. Maybe there's a trade in program for it.

Nice, your ride gonna look good Andrew.

 Andrew, Andrew & Andrew. This past Sunday, there were 3 Andrew and 3 FXes. Never met that many Andrew in my life until :iS:

What's even more funny is that all three of our birthdays are in November.

Install the GTSPEC Mid Chassis and Rear Lateral braces on Chris (FX45Chicago) FX today. We also install a Oil Catch Can. Fix his rusty rear license screw problem with a rubber well nut.
 The 20 minutes rear lateral brace install turn into a 2 hr install. The driver side bolt gave me the run around even using a 1/2" impact gun that cranks out 600lb of torque. The passenger side came out in a heart beat. After 1.5 hour into trying to undo the driver side bolt I realize that I'm using a wimpy quarter inch air hose instead of the half inch hose that I regularly use. Swap the hose, bam the nut come flying off the bolt.:embarrassed: Here a couple pics of the install. Chris got a couple of Oil Catch Can pics that he'll post up soon.

Chris, you should leave the skid plate in chrome. It looks really good with the chrome grille.

I have to get pics of the Dash but what a day got a speeding ticket lost $40 must have dropped it at Firestone. Overall, I would say I'm happy because everything turn out great. To re- illiterate what Andy said

1. Installed WeatherTech License Plates
2. Installed GTSpec mid chassis and rear lateral braces
3. Installed Simota Oil Catch Can.
4. Change in-cabin air filter.

Enjoyed today apart from getting ticket Etc. Looking forward to the future mods I have on my list. Thanks Again Andy.
