Handy_Andy's Mini Meets

what time you (Andy) getting started tomorrow? And isn't there another Andrew on here from chicago that we have yet to meet as well?

It's just three Andrew's so far I think. I will be over by 1300. Just tried to put my GTSpec strut bar on and the engine cover is too big and needs to be trimmed if I want to accommodate both.

I can't make it out today got to hit the gym and see the gf or I'll be in trouble and River Forest to Aurora to Frankfort back to River Forest isn't a commute I'm feeling today! I'm confident the coils will be going on in the next few weekends anyways so I will see the new addition soon! Don't forget to get some pictures

Yes that's crazy, that's a lot from the oil catch can. Maybe I should look into doing it. Yes, I "almost" moved into his house at one time, lol. :eek.:

Didn't you just get a new copper 45, so the previous owner had installed a oil catch can already? - Maybe they just never emptied it? So oil filters are not enough eh? I checked out Jumbo's thread and I started getting a headache....too much details.

Just so you guys know, mine stopped blowing off oil. I barely get any in my oil catch can now. I believe it was related to switching to Mobil 1 0W-40 vs. 5W-30. I'm now back to 5W-30 though due to the clearance sale of synthetic oil at 5W-30.

You have to take the caliper off? I was hoping you could just slide the pads out from the top=)

Chris -- what's your oil change interval? Oil is doing it's job grabbing on to debris/etc., but that looks really dark. In lieu of sending it out for analysis, I would reduce your oil change interval by maybe 500-1,000 miles.

Maybe it's Chris' wife secretly taking it to the drag strip on the weekends?

Hahah, met Chris wife and daughter yesterday. I doubt that. She too nice of a person and I just don't see that in her. My guess... most likely would Chris himself drag racing on the Jane Adam Tollway :wink (2):. His daughter so adorable. She the first baby ever looked at me and smile. I'm blush. :pinky:
