Handy_Andy's Mini Meets

Ed: Remove 06 cluster? (Maybe), AFR and +2 Timing via Unichip
Chris: +2 Timing via Unichip
Andrew: Probably try to wrap up of what's left of the suede headliner makeover
Moi: Trying to finish up the euro taillight conversion

Yup cluster removal, speedo died again today...

Hmm, wonder if there is a loose connection. Gotta take a look on the FSM to see if one of the wires on the plug in the back of the cluster was for the speedo. Hahaha did you jump for joy when you got it to work from your Jedi force, "bam speedo works".

Nice! Andy, you changing your oil anytime soon?

Sent from my DROIDX
I'll do mine in a couple more weeks. We have time to change your oil if you wanted to.

You guys have room for an aero lip and springs install?

Not sure we have time & expertise for the lip, gotta get Wayne to stop by since he the experienced one. As for springs install, if you have 4 hours, I can.
:wink (2):

Guys, I think I was sleep iS'ing.. Don't have they lip or the springs... Hehe, I need some mods to do:-)

Another great install meet at Handy_Andy's. Met a new FXer as well.

Andy installed an O2 sensor, gauge with custom mount and wideband module so I can monitor my air/fuel ratio and tune my car.

Chris and the new guy (sorry forgot your name) helped me big time to remove my center console and entire radio. Andy was our teacher telling us where we can pull so we didn't break any clips.

I put in the old cluster, wow it is dim and boring.

Thanks everyone, took longer than expected but that always seems to be the case.

His name is Paz. Maybe he will chime in soon. Maybe Andrew can post the pic he took of us if he wants, hehe. He gave the green light to post pics with his license plate showing. :smile (2):

Here are a couple pics from our install meet. I can't believe I spent so much time on unscrew the cap off the new bung to install the wideband O2 sensor. I'm pretty much gave up on using my hand with breaker bar. The guys said to give it one more try using the impact gun. I took their suggestion and hit with the impact gun. It took quite a few hit with the impact to get it loose. Paz, a new FXer stop by to say hello and chat for quite a bit. He also lend a hand with ripping out Ed's center console. Our plan was to add the +2 Timing onto Chris' Unichip, but didn't have time to get to his. Sorry Chris.

Welcome to the Chicago group Paz. We are an active group so there will be more meets to come, just have to get past this winter first.

Looks like a good meet as usual, and thanks for posting the pics Andy..
Those pics of Ed's dash and console tore apart is definitely a scary sight:eek.:

Amazing how much you learn at Andy's.

I can now rip apart an 03-08 FX to install a nav tv (except the sodering, no electrical for me), media bridge. I had the entire guts out thanks to Chris and Andy.

I might rip it apart again and zip tie everything and electrical tape everything to make it more clean, right now it's a little messy as we were short on time.

Sorry Chris, I took up your entire day and couldn't get to your +2 timing mod.

Hopefully Andy isn't too sore from trying to undo the O2 bung.

Did you do the +2 on your 45, Ed? Also, where did you put your PLX gauge?

Wow, looks like it was a productive day. I might have to make the trip down from Milwaukee for the next one. I don't have any major installs planned right now, but it would be fun to see the steps that others are taking and always to meet up with some other owners...
