Hey guys,
I was wondering how much work does it involve to install angel eyes for head lights? and i think i can get the angel eyes fog lights from ebay? Do you guys know which particular ones are good? I have a 04 FX35
With all said and done, it might take you a good 5 hours of work to install angle eyes on your head lights. It involves:
1. taking the bumper out,
2. taking the lights out (undoing the cables)
3. Removing all the HID Assembly.
4. Cooking the lights individually in the oven at the "LOWEST" heat until the seal loosens up to a point were you can pry the glass from the plastic part.
5. Drill a hole to get the Angel Eye's cables though the face. (if you are planing of painting the face black this would be the time to do it)
6. Attach the Angel eyes using 3M tape (not the one supplied) at a symmetrical angle.
7. Put the Assembly back in the oven to get everything to reseal again.
8. Repeat the steps 3 to 7 for the other light.
9. Put the HID assy. back on.
10. Connect the wires for the Angel Eyes.
11. Test, and Re Test
12. put the Lights and Bumper back on
As far as the Halo Fogs are concerned. They don't come with Angel Eyes. They come with a plastic Halo that is not that bright. The Halo Fogs also do not Support the HID bulbs. You will need to modify the Halo Fogs to the HID Kit and the Angel eye kit. If I were to do it again, I would keep my Factory Fogs and just do a HID kit. If you really want to do the Halo Fogs with HID and Angel Eyes, PM me and I'll write a DIY.
