to follow. Have to test everything first. And some sleep. So far 36 hours and only 15 min sleep.

Very Nice & bright. Guess those gaps couldnt be avoided with the angels?

The correct term for them is actually Demon Eyes. Since it's supposed to represent the Iris, and the Eye Lids cover the top part. BMW originally did this to give their Head lights a "wicked" look. But, for the FX they put a peace of plastic to cover that part. Inside you have a glass gas-filled tube (much like a florescent light) so you cannot avoid the gaps, unless you overlap the ends, which makes them not fit.

Hey guys,

I was wondering how much work does it involve to install angel eyes for head lights? and i think i can get the angel eyes fog lights from ebay? Do you guys know which particular ones are good? I have a 04 FX35

With all said and done, it might take you a good 5 hours of work to install angle eyes on your head lights. It involves:

1. taking the bumper out,
2. taking the lights out (undoing the cables)
3. Removing all the HID Assembly.
4. Cooking the lights individually in the oven at the "LOWEST" heat until the seal loosens up to a point were you can pry the glass from the plastic part.
5. Drill a hole to get the Angel Eye's cables though the face. (if you are planing of painting the face black this would be the time to do it)
6. Attach the Angel eyes using 3M tape (not the one supplied) at a symmetrical angle.
7. Put the Assembly back in the oven to get everything to reseal again.
8. Repeat the steps 3 to 7 for the other light.
9. Put the HID assy. back on.
10. Connect the wires for the Angel Eyes.
11. Test, and Re Test
12. put the Lights and Bumper back on

As far as the Halo Fogs are concerned. They don't come with Angel Eyes. They come with a plastic Halo that is not that bright. The Halo Fogs also do not Support the HID bulbs. You will need to modify the Halo Fogs to the HID Kit and the Angel eye kit. If I were to do it again, I would keep my Factory Fogs and just do a HID kit. If you really want to do the Halo Fogs with HID and Angel Eyes, PM me and I'll write a DIY.

whao that involves a lot of work... and im not to experienced when it comes to mods such as these. Thanks a lot for the whole write up, If i can get someone to help me with this who's more expeienced i'd love to add angel eyes. I don't know any one around my area here in Toronto. Help!!!

1. Projector Fogs for FX35/45 (ebay item)

2. Angel/Demon Eye kit (ebay) Need to be the correct one.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-0....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:727|65:12|39:1|240:1318

3. H3 HID kit. Must be h3 bulbs and match the Kelvin temp of your Headlight HID (6000k, 8500k etc.)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:727|65:12|39:1|240:1318

once you have the part,

You need take the fog light apart, remove the lense, remove the worth less Halo that comes with it. Make small modifications to the Projector casing, high temp silicon cocking for the lense and sealing the bulb from behind. Also need some heat shrink tubes. And the most time consuming part, "you need to take the bumper off."

It will cost approximately $150 to make. It looks cool but has vely little functionality as far as the fog lights are concerned. I must have done something wrong since when I go to a carwash, water always gets in to the lense.

If you are not technically savy, do not waste your money. At the end of the day, a 6000k HID Kit for under $50 and 3 hours of work would look just as good and a lot more functional in terms of fog lights.

Good luck. If you anyone is still interested, I'll post DIY pics.

I think Im going to go with number 2 & 3. I will upgrade to the HIDs all around. Already sounds like a lot of work. Good I have a garage to do this in. Were there any special tools that were needed? Im thinking you tested the lights before the install, if so, how? The wiring would probably more of a concern for me, and maybe removing the bumper. I hate to ask you to do a DIY or if you can point me to another place with a good writeup would be helpful too. I've seen other writeups but they leave out those details. Thanks in advance.
