h&r sport or eibach pro lowering kit?

Have you ever had Eibachs on your FX? I don't think anybody can confirm this unless they've used both in the same application. I still plan on swapping out to H&Rs and I'll give it a hard run before and after to see for myself...

Let me clarify, not me personally but at least one person who did the switch confirmed this. I know for sure I read this on the org or scene.

I think Viet tried everything out there including Apollo so maybe he can chime in.

Gil went from Eibach to H&R and he said the ride is much better......

OK, I'm going with H&R.

Can anyone recommend the best place to buy them from online? Link?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up in this thread, but if you're gonna go with H&R's make sure they are the right ones... see pics below (the numbers on the springs)

Stillen bites

Off topic -

But a couple weeks back when we had that meet in San Diego....the first meeting point was @ Stillen, and they were handing out free Stillen Shirts and when the girl came to me and I told her no thanks.

fyi, in my searching over the last month or so, no one local to me has the H&R's in stock and they all tell me that the H&R's are backordered until late Jan 09...

you can get them on ebay. I got mine from a local place on ebay. Let me see if I can find the link.

Ok, found him. He is located in La Habra. I work in Irwindale and he told me he is always in the area. He said he drives all over. You might want to message him. He sold them to me for $245 delivered by my work. Met up with him.

You should message him and ask if he has local pick up.

When did you purchase yours? I already checked ebay numerous times and have already emailed that particular seller, in addition to a few others.....those sellers DO NOT have the springs in stock

I believe even if he doesn't have it in stock right away, he gets it pretty quick. Both times I ordered from him (pili-car), I got the springs in 5 days.

the backorder date was given to me by that very seller and i later verified that same date/finding with the other seller on ebay and with another local shop....:frown: but its okay cuz i do have it on order...

My experiance with both is: Eibach's/Pros.... (on 22"s Toyo's ) Way better in the corners with less top heavyness, no softness at all. Con's / very stiff ride, got very annoying on bad roads. You feel every rock thats on the road. I just couldn't put up with holding my breath while driving any longer.

H&R's/ Pros....better ride that 04 stock springs on 20"s. Great comfort for everyday driving. Cons/...not as stiff as the Eibach's in the corners. You will feel the top heavy roll as I now need to take it slower in the corners with the H&R's.

FX sits lower on Eibchs out of the box. I think the Eibachs on 20"s would be the ideal ride. I just couldn't handle the rough ride any longer on 22"s.

BaBa,

How do the H&R compare to the stock Sport springs that come as part of the OEM Sport Pkg?

Haha . . Porsche guy re-thinking. You know you want handling buddy. That top heavy thing scared ya, didnt it.

If I lived in Chicago, H&R would be the choice.
IMO, Eibachs not too rough for me. Gonna really depend on your wheels tires too. W/ Pirellis, the ride is actually very smooth. I try & avoid the bumps

I just dropped my load today from my stocked set up to H&R sport springs with new struts/shocks. Honestly, IMO my ride is at worse its better, more stable, like when I picked up my ride. I probably need more time to truly evaluate. If someone put me in my car with or without the new set up I might not be able to tell the difference. But the eyes do not lie, that's where I can definitely see the benefits. But to answer your question, I have the premium tech package, from what Ive read here Im assuming its softer than the sport package, but whats more relevant is the H&R sport springs are as good or better than my stock setup.
