GTR wheels on my 09 FX35

Looks great! The more you drop it the more negative camber you will have in the rears and they will start to pull in towards flush. Hold out for coil overs if possible :tup:

actually i left it on jack stands, and i'll put the fx35 wheels on the GTR soon :wink (2):

yeah waiting for coilovers...wish i could use my car as a tester =(

Personally, I would leave it because it is the same color as your roof rails. Looks perfect now.
 
The OE lugs are actually classic nuts, so NOT pretty and they won't fit into the GTR lug channel regardless. Have to go with GTR lugs or after market.

I'm new to the site. I just bought a 2009 AWD FX35 in Silver and it came with 20" OEM 5 Spoke. I would like to get the GTRs. Is it ok to run the OEM GTR staggered wheels with an AWD? Also, any rubbing issues?

I just spent a year of research to get my 1994 RX7 wheel upgrade and it came out perfect, but it took a lot of thread searching. Since I'm new to the site I'm trying to ask the experts.

Lastly, where is the best place to pick up a set of the hyper grey GTR wheels? And where do I sell my OEM 20s? Is there an interest for OEM 20s on this site?

Yo Chips, welcome to iS! Best place to purchase GTR wheels Nagtroc.com but you have to wait for the buy. Staggered is fine, just make sure your frt/rear circumference is the same Eg. 265/50/20 front 295/45/20 Rear is perfect. Run a 25mm spacer on the front.

Run a competitively priced ad on iS (I always try to pay it forward) for your OE wheels, price higher on Craigs list.

Is it better to buy 4 x GTR 10.5s and put them on the front and back versus running a 25mm spacer on front? I assume its pretty tough to find a set of GTRs little alone, finding 4 x rears???

A neighbor down my street has a red GTR with grey hyper wheels. I should ask him if he's going to upgrade some day to new wheels and then I can buy his.


Just for grins I put one of my 94 RX7 wheels on my FX to see how flush it would be and it looked perfect with a 18x9 with a +30 offset. The wheels look too small in my opinion compared to the 20", but the width was perfect. Just wanted to put the info out there incase someone is looking at after market wheels with that offset.
