I would rather have 2k light stock wheels than 2k aftermarket wheels that will weigh more
who said the 2k aftermarket wheels were heavier?

To get 20's or 22's aftermarket the same weight and build quality as the GTR wheels, you're looking at just under 2k PER WHEEL.
Nope. Exactly that, a light weight cast wheel.are the enkei's forged though? I'm pretty sure the gtr's are a forged monoblock wheel... much stronger than a light weight cast wheel...
List weights for the GTC01:
20 x 10.5 weighs 32lbs
20 x 9.5 or 10 weighs 30lbs
vs
GT-R
20 x 10.5 weighs 26.8lbs
The 20" GT01Cs are around 500-600 each and not forged to my knowledge. It's whichever one you like really.
My 20 x 10.5s weigh 30.8lbs for comparison...
Nope. Exactly that, a light weight cast wheel.
Didn't think the GTC01's were THAT heavy. What 20x10.5's you got? Your sig says 20x9.5's...?
Btw where are you getting the GTC01 weights? Enkei hasn't published the official weights of those to my knowledge. Notice how on Enkei's official site they have it down to the tenth, just like those GTR wheels are.
http://www.enkei.com/spec_charts/GTC01.pdf
18x10: 24.5 lbs
19x10: 26.2 lbs
If the weight increase is linear...
20x10: 27.9 lbs
on the topic of GTR wheels:
Some of the guys on the GTR forums are kind of dicks lol. I mean, does $2k sound like a lowball to you guys for a set of GTR wheels? I PM'd a bunch of users who had sets for sale for anywhere from 2500-3500, asking for 2k w/o tires, and I get these rude messages back like "why would you even think I would consider an offer that low". And then when I try to reason with them, I get the "its too much of a hassle". whatever. /rant before I say something stupid.
Oops, yeah I looked past the 22" part. Mis-read since we were talking 20's this, 20's that.I have 22 x 9.5s on right now and new 20 x 10.5 SSR GT3s in boxes awaiting tires and time to get them mounted. Plus my 22" tires are new and wanted to wear them down some before making the switch.
Some guys on any forum are dicks. I also doubt dudes who own 70K+ cars are interested in "reasoning" with potential buyers over a set of wheels. The demand for those wheels is probably pretty high. Also, a 20-43% discount is pretty big. You're lucky you got a reply at all...
