GTR Rims

To get 20's or 22's aftermarket the same weight and build quality as the GTR wheels, you're looking at just under 2k PER WHEEL.

Don't they make Enkei GTC01's in 20's???

Edit: they do, and they're lighter than stock GTR wheels and $500-600 a pop.

FYI I'm pretty much saying the GTC01's would be almost identical spec-wise to the GTR's, at slightly higher price apparently, if you can get GTR wheels at $500 a pop.

At that point, it's just style preference. If you like the GTC01 look then get those, if you like the GTR's wheels, get those.

List weights for the GTC01:
20 x 10.5 weighs 32lbs
20 x 9.5 or 10 weighs 30lbs
vs
GT-R
20 x 10.5 weighs 26.8lbs

The 20" GT01Cs are around 500-600 each and not forged to my knowledge. It's whichever one you like really.

My 20 x 10.5s weigh 30.8lbs for comparison...

are the enkei's forged though? I'm pretty sure the gtr's are a forged monoblock wheel... much stronger than a light weight cast wheel...
Nope. Exactly that, a light weight cast wheel.

Didn't think the GTC01's were THAT heavy. What 20x10.5's you got? Your sig says 20x9.5's...?

Btw where are you getting the GTC01 weights? Enkei hasn't published the official weights of those to my knowledge. Notice how on Enkei's official site they have it down to the tenth, just like those GTR wheels are.

18x10: 24.5 lbs
19x10: 26.2 lbs

If the weight increase is linear...

20x10: 27.9 lbs

I'm totally invading this thread, but check these 370Z wheels off the special edition. I was waiting in the showroom at Nissan:

I have 22 x 9.5s on right now and new 20 x 10.5 SSR GT3s in boxes awaiting tires and time to get them mounted. Plus my 22" tires are new and wanted to wear them down some before making the switch.

The weights I googled. One website has them listed as less, but I seriously doubt the 20 x 10 weighs less than the 19 x 10 weight listed on Enkeis site lol.

Either way I don't think anyone can go wrong, well unless they are rocking HRE, IForged, DPE, CCW, Kinesis, 360 Forged, Asanti, or any other wheel of the same caliber.

on the topic of GTR wheels:

Some of the guys on the GTR forums are kind of dicks lol. I mean, does $2k sound like a lowball to you guys for a set of GTR wheels? I PM'd a bunch of users who had sets for sale for anywhere from 2500-3500, asking for 2k w/o tires, and I get these rude messages back like "why would you even think I would consider an offer that low". And then when I try to reason with them, I get the "its too much of a hassle". whatever. /rant before I say something stupid.

Some guys on any forum are dicks. I also doubt dudes who own 70K+ cars are interested in "reasoning" with potential buyers over a set of wheels. The demand for those wheels is probably pretty high. Also, a 20-43% discount is pretty big. You're lucky you got a reply at all...

Oops, yeah I looked past the 22" part. Mis-read since we were talking 20's this, 20's that.

I completely agree that they're all good, light weight wheels. In the end I guess I'd have to say if you can get a set of GTR wheels at $500 a pop it's an excellent deal and shouldn't be passed up. At JB's new price apparently, $750+ each opens up a whole new category of wheels.

Theres a set on ebay if anyone wants them... I'll post the link shortly... but there going for about 2,000$ w/ 260$ shipping. Comes w/ tires but no center caps.

well, I mean, they were selling them for $2750ish with tires, some for $2k with tires but local pickup only, so its not so much the price as them not wanting to deal with taking tires off.... either way, somebody needs to buy my 20's first:tup:
