Grocery Getter :: 2006 Infiniti fx35 awd

Found a decent deal locally of a "rev-up" airbox replacement, simple process since the fitting is perfect (oem). 15mins to install and didnt have time to test drive. From the G35driver forum, members there claim it's a smoother throttle response and no real HP gains. Worthy a try for me since I'm always curious....

I know its a direct swap, but still seems like a lot of trouble messing with the OEM airbox for smoother throttle response.Well OEM in general is a hassle, but hope you get the results you are looking for! Worth a try and to share the results! :good:

I like it. The essence is that larger velocity stack, which smooths the air flow for the maf sensor. A more accurate sensor reading makes for better response.
That's the main selling point of the Stillen kit (the giant aluminum velocity stack). I once tried to get one from Stillen and they basically told me that it comprised such a large portion of the selling price that they simply wouldn't sell it separately. Long story short - its really important.

I have an extra Stillen velocity stack if you still want one

Nice. You are extending the tail pipe/tip with stainless steel piping and stainless steel filler wire for the welding right?

Damn - Make a cocktail shaker out of it! really, who has a Nismo cocktail shaker?
dude!!, u just spooled our master plan :smile (2): . Actually John was calling it a thermos while I was holding it.
