Hello all,
Glad to find a FX forum. I'm a huge car nut and the first thing I do before buying is start searching the web for a club or forum to learn as much as I can before the big purchase.
I've been a Nissan guy pretty much all of my car buying life. After graduating I picked up a Z32 NA 300ZX, then stepped down slightly to a 240SX (needed the rear seats), then on to a R32 Skyline GTR (actually brought in one of the first legal ones in Canada and started a Canadian GTR forum called GTRCanada.com) and now currently own a 1996 R33 Skyline GTR and a supercharged NSX.
Being in Ottawa I need a good awd daily driver and last year finally gave up my E60 M5 and bought a 2005 Grand Cherokee (I know...). I have always liked the FX since the first "bionic cheetah" concept was flogged around by Nissan in 2001 and wanted one forever but budget forced me to buy what I thought was the better deal of a SUV. Big mistake! 6 months of Jeep ownership and I'm taking a huge loss to go back on the market for a good FX35.
Glad to be here. Hope to learn lots and contribute. I've got my radar on a decent 2005 FX35 but the drivers seat is really ripped up. Hope someone can help me source an economical repair solution.
John
