awwwwww man.
My trip to Chicago did it.

It put da itch in me.

Andy has Ed's FX45, Andrew has his FX45, Chris has his FX45, Phil had his FX50, when I stopped at Jonas place he had his FX50.
Heck Ian and I had our V6's, we were outnumbered.

I love my FX, don't get me wrong, it is a fantastic ride, but the FORCE is strong, I am trying to fight it.

I did find a 2009 FX50S with only 12,000 miles on it, fully loaded. The problem is, I'm not sure about the color, it is Blue Onyx (Blue Slate in the US) and it has the Wheat interior with the wood grain. I drove it for about 15-20 miles and it performed well. It's the exterior and interior color that does not agree with me 100%. I can get a reasonable deal on it.
My paint is actually better than it was (they must not know about Zaino )

I don't know what to do, the FORCE she be very strong and it is SUCKING me into it's Black Hole.

Must resist

must..........................:hypnotized:

Wayne! Well, you are retired and seem to be enjoying life. You did your time and you are now able to travel and live comfortably with your wife. I say do it, why resist? Enjoy all the years of hard work you went through and enjoy the 50 if that what makes you happy. In your given situation, I say go for it. Enjoy the ride! Maybe give your wife the 35! Hold out for a Mojave Copper one, since you love copper. :good:

....I feel your pain after being at Andy's this weekend. I would say pull the trigger but I would also wait until the right color combo comes up for you. You have to look at the interior and exterior every day. If you don't love it wait until you find the one you do

This FX50s is such low mileage but I am not really loving the color combo, that's what I'm thinking, wait, until the right color 2009 FX50S comes along.

Andrew, I would grab a copper in a flash but they are so rare. my choices would be Copper, platinum graphite or the color I have now.

I can't give the FX35 to the wife since it is already hers (ours). I have my 4x4 truck for pulling my boat and general running around. So I think I have her convinced a FX50S would be a nice choice for her. I know, I'm sneaky, but she does get to drive it once or twice a year.

Wayne, like Aero said I say go for it. Your retired bro and suppose to be living life to the fullest. After all your not getting any younger right? :wink:As the wise words of my friends, "YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!!"

But honestly though I say you should wait it out for the right color. I've seen used FX's on the lot with wheat interiors and they show they're age fast! Especially if you wear blue jeans the dye transfer destroys the seats and the carpet shows dirt like you wouldn't believe. My previous ride had wheat like interior and I couldn't keep up with it.

I'm not saying don't get it but I think you should wait till you get a chance to buy one with the right color YOU like and not because you feel you should buy it cause your just wanting one at the moment. By the way make sure it has the tech package I know how much you like that on your 35 :good:

Go for it, that color is real nice IMO, plus it has low miles and you can never go wrong with a v8

I say wait a bit and find a color you love. Or pay a little extra and be completely satisfied.....

It has everything Aaron, tech, entertainment, roof racks, the S package, the works. The Fishing Derby we fish in starts this weekend so we will be busy for a couple of weeks, but if we get a windy day, I will take a day off and take Karen to have a look at it.
But really I think you guys have convinced me to wait until the right color-combo comes around.

What's the downside? Slightly worse fuel economy and possibly a tiny insurance hike (for the S)? Personally I'd get the regular 50 over the S in the exterior color you have now so you can swap the lip, but regardless of either of those I say find a color combo you like and do it. 100%. Do it.

Get the V8 in the color that you like. Wait a bit more and you'll find one; heck the price will only go down.

your fx is as fast as theirs..

But the sound of a V8 is music, and another 100 ft/lbs of torque along with a few extra ponies sure sweetens the pie?

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I will wait until the right color comes along.

Wise choice on the wait Wayne

---------- Post Merged at 04:19 PM ---------- Previous Post was at 04:19 PM ----------

I'm still waiting for something perfect to come along (hint, hint)

I gave in to the Siren's Song after about a year and a half with the V6....The wait for the perfect FX will be worth it!

Go for it, I was thinking the same thing. If I did get a FX45 I would give the FX35 to my wife but I like the first gen 45's better, dont know why but I think its the body style.

I don't know a stock, 45 is certainly slightly quicker than 6.3. Imagine what a modded 45 can do....:ninja:

Agreed! Wait on the perfect color combo, it will come eventually, Wayne. No rush! I think you should wait on a 50S Mojave Copper on Java interior. When I found my 45 on eBay and saw it was local, I knew instantly that I would get it. :smile (2):
