Get more output from our Bose subs!

I know this thread is kinda old but hoping someone can help me out here.

I just soldered all the parts together but before I start cutting and tapping into the stock harness I just wanted some confirmation.

+12V = tap into pink wire
Ground = tap into black wire
Signal in+ = splice into white wire
Signal output = splice into other end of white wire
Signal in- = tap into black wire

What are you trying to do? Install the Epicenter or the Circuit? and where are you trying to splice from? HU or at the Sub?

12V+ is the green wire
Pink wire= REM

Subwoofer Amplifier:

Subwoofer signal: Positive- White
Negative- Black
Amplifier Ground- Black
Amplifier Turn-on- Pink
Amplifier Constant Power- Gray (2003)
Green/Red (2004+)

Sound Like your trying the circuit board now that I read it again. Now if you attach the C.Board inside the subwoofer this is what it looks like:
Going into sub
Green wire goes to 2x Orange = Power wire
Black Wire goes to 2x Black = Ground
Pink Wire goes to Blue = Remote
Skinny White Goes to Purple = Signal In +
Skinny Black goes to Yellow = Signal In -

and
2x Red = Positive for each sub
2x Green = Negative for each sub

also, because this is and inverting preamplifier, you will have to cut the speaker wires (green and red wires) and connect green wires to the red wires, and vice versa, or you could swap the connectors at the ends of the wires with new ones. otherwise the sub will be out of phase in relation to the other speakers

Hey thanks for the reply. But now I'm more confused. I thought the purple wire would get cut and one end is the signal in+ and the other end of the purple wire would be the signal output. I didn't see anything about a remote connection. Am I missing something?

Where did you get the colors green, black, pink, skinny white, skinny black?

Green/black/skinny white/skinny black/pink are the wires OUTSIDE coming into the subwoofer at the harness located in the pic to the left. If you are hooking up INSIDE the subwoofer, then you see orange/blue/red/purple/yellow.

Maybe this will help more:
Connections

12v power can be tapped on the amp harness: orange wire
Ground: tap black wire
In+: cut purple wire, connect harness side to preamp input, amp side to preamp output
In-: tap yellow wire

hope that helps

and remember this is an inverted amp...so the speaker wires need to be flipped!

GOOD LUCK!! let us know how this works out....the seller actually has the adjustable one in stock now for $70.....I want to try it out.

Just installed the circuit and it makes a noticable difference. Extremely easy to install as well and it's all hidden inside the sub. Didn't have to cut the speaker wires either. On the bottom of the harness plug you'll see some small slits. Use a small screwdriver to press down on it and the wire/pin comes out. Then just swap the red with green.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I got everything at radioshack. Just use the diagram I posted on the 1st page. Somebody else driving my car who has an FX too noticed the difference right away.

At lower volumes its hard to tell the difference. But at higher volume, you can tell somethings been done/tweaked to the sub right away.

I told people this would work..and it only costs $10!!

Got everything yesterday, will be doing the soldering and all this weekend.

on a side note, I had to buy that 12.99 pack of resistors in order to get the two required
resistors since they didn't sell them "a-la-carte" so if anyone else is planning on doing this send me a message and I'll send you a 4.7k and 15k resistor for a couple of bucks. :-)

Not to jack the thread too far, but I installed the Epicenter about a month ago and IT IS AWESOME. I especially like the control knob up front.
