GB - New CREE DTRL bulbs available

No problem with the old Cree bulbs that Andrew and I were using. Not sure about these new re-designed ones. mtbfx might need to chime in since he is the only one have them on for now (testing?)
 
ill upload some pics i took a little later. just removed the smoked vinyl.

oncoming traffic i think is ok due to the u shaped clear plastic in front of the bulb. im not sure one it is swapped though.

I'd say they look about as bright as last ones. Can u get some night shots? I had mine in the turn signal location so the light was not dispersed as much as in your dtrl location
 
I'm still interested in these, but waiting for the issues to be worked out. Maybe a few more weeks of testing from mtbfx are needed to get it right. :balanced:
 
Luis - How is it going on the refunds? Once everything is cleared up and the new lights are proven to be stable do we dare start up another GB list?

Since I haven't sent my defective bulbs back yet maybe the swap for the "NEW IMPROVED" bulbs won't take so long. I'm hoping anyways:biggrin:

JLC ---ETA on availabilty yet?

hey guys, dropping by to say that the new bulb has been developed and are in good working conditions.

Tested it out on forum member Mike's car and its going smoothly. Also testing it on a friends FX. No signs of any flickering issues yet.

JLC will never give up! Again, our apologies for not testing out the bulbs 100% before pushing them out. I guess it was my fault, since i get antsy on new things as well. :frown:

I would definitely want this too, i want to be 110% sure this time! And I am glad mtbfx lives close to us, so we can do all the testing/alterations if needed.

Logan, I would like to issue refunds to everyone that send me the old ones back. Unless people are waiting for these new ones, then I will rather do the exchange without going through the hassle of refunding them and having them pay again. I will post a updated list once i gather up all the information back from paypal on the ones refunded already and for those that still have not gotten their refunds back but would like the exchange. After I get that sorted out, then I will go ahead and start another GB list.

I also got other stuff for the FX i would like to share with IS. such as a full LED interior kit that replaces all the current lights with some super bright LEDs. But I would love to make sure the DTRL gets working first

Thanks MTN FX, ETA I would say in about 2 more weeks. I would like to check up with Mike to make sure that everything is in 110% working conditions to ensure that we are all happy campers! :laugh:
 
no problems so far, not even a flicker. i even leave it on when i work on the garage. if there's anything else i can do to test, you (fellow is members and jlc) let me know.
 
Very cool! Interested in trading out the 7443's and wondering if the 921's have been changed at all to better reflect in the reverse housing? I was backing up today and could barely even see that my reverse light was on.
 
I can't wait for these lights to be ready, ill also be interested in the full interior led switch.

I think we should all wait to actually receive the new DTRL lights and make sure that they are working properly before we commit or even start to think about an led kit for interior.... just saying............
