Not your fault JLC can't listen to the consumer and make a damn light bulb that turns on when you plug it in! Instead we have to bend all this crap up and just kinda hope it works.

STU maybe this is your issue with gettig the bulbs to work compare the location of the contacts on your OE bulbs to the new ones--------

No, they are not as big as HIDs lol.

The dimensions are: 3" x 2 1/4" x 1"

Hey guys,

Sorry, I just realized the problem that eJay mentioned. Sometimes the pins might be in different directions where it does not make contact with the harness connectors. So flipping the pin in this case would be the perfect way to solve the problem. Here are some pics to illustrate what I mean, thanks guys!

Oh yeah I've seen those pics. Not gonna lie, I have no idea what's going on in them. All I see are some blurry pics and apparently something happens with the pins, but I'm not sure what exactly.

I do have an idea on what to try now, so I'll go slave away in my hot garage yet again.

They're saying that the wires may need to be flipped from front to back changing the orientation of the wires from left side to right or right to left. Just check your OE bulbs and make sure the CREE bulb wires are in the same location as the OE bulbs

You know it pains me to see this thread writhe its way to the top of the posts when my name is attached to it. Many pages ago it all seemed like nothing but good news, a market void that could be filled. Now as it boils down to customer service and a seeming lack thereof I'm hoping this can get mopped up and a kindly mod will strike my name from the O.P. BTW Thanks for the support JD, my intentions were all good in starting this G.B.

:dito:Not your fault Logan!!!!!!

And on the sixth day, the man from mountains said look at these blurry pics again, and you shall see the light!

And it was so!

I didn't realize that one of the pins needed to be flipped to the other side and moved over, while the other stayed where it was. Actually, having the cover pop off my plug made it easier to see where the pins needed to be moved to. On the other side, I just had to guess. Now I just hope they stay in place because it seemed like a large enough jolt could knock them out of perfect alignment. I was right all along in saying my issue was with having to move those pins and not knowing how.

I don't think anyone assumes otherwise Lance. You went the extra mile to hook us up and did nothing wrong.
Unless of course, you have anything you want to share with us...

Keep us updated on the lights staying on. Btw were my sent out jlc? Sent payment a few days ago...

Ehhh, it's a side business :) seriously though, I look at Stu's pic's above and think "hey that lools nice, I'd like a set of those"......

Talk about a missed opportunity.

Now that I finally got mine working, I'll keep an eye on them and report back. Only thing is I never had the flickering before, so I can't compare. I also have to do the DTRL/turn signal swap on passenger side.

The 7440s never flickered like 924s. Once they get hot after about half HR of being constantly on they would start turning off and on every few seconds. At night you can see the "effect" on the cars ahead of you

Stulax18- are the bulbs bright? and do they match with your 6k's ?
The pictures do a good job of showing, but yeah they are bright. I think they are closer to 5000K though on the color scale. Pure white kinda color. They look real bright in the turn signal spot. Kinda like a mini HID light.

thanks!

The shape is the same as old one so I'm guessing theY don't reflect in the housing? Wouldve been cool if there were mini LEDs on the sides....

Well this is great. My FX is completely dead now. Nothing works, can't even turn the key at all using either the i key, or actually using a real key. Only thing that has happened since it was last running fine is the bulbs were installed. Do they just stay on constantly or something?
