G37 / FX50 Akebono Brake Retrofit

i think the color its self is nice.

Me personally i'd like a bit more contrast something that pops and says BBK! subraru did it a while back with their lateral links and other suspension components on the sti in pink so why not a color unexpected...i'm not saying pink but a color that stands out or maybe a color match of some future coil overs????

+1 color looks great, but for all that work, I'd go for something that pops out a little more.

I didn't get any bolts when I bought the calipers, does anybody know if we just use our existing bolts to mount these?

Agreed, I also like the stealth look BUT some PS work may be in order to get a feel for what would give you the best visual "bang for your buck".

in the beginning I thought bolts were needed cause I went from rotoras, but yeah, stock bolts are fine... don't forget to mod the brakeline bolt though,..

Finished my front calipers, first one came out pretty good... the second one(not pictured) I had a hard time getting the stencil aligned so the "akebono" is a bit off to the left, I am in no way going to repaint the whole caliper because of the lettering.

Really nice job, the color and the logo choice is perfect. +1 on Chedman's comment, I also like the Caliper leaning up against the stripper pole all sexy style.......

jeff should have thrown a few dollars just to make the pict a bit better!! "stripping caliber" lol

that looks great, that stencil looks like a bitch to work with but it came out sweet. engine enamel should hold up good I think but I've had not so great results with engine enamel on rotors, don't last at all. should be much better on calipers I think

& yeah johnathan, I'll take it for a ride, but from what your discribing sounds like rotors for sure... can't drive it too fast right now, the bumpers off & the cars in pieces atm :p
