G37 / FX50 Akebono Brake Retrofit

bumping this. Anybody know how these will fit on a '10 FX35? Straight bolt-on F&R? How about the stock 20" wheels? I have a set of Rays Masterpiece I can use as well as 20mm spacers but of course its nice to have no restrictions
 
it is direct bolt on for the fx gen2 front and rear, stock 20 you'll have to test but I think 10-15mm spacers will clear it.

thanks. figured it would bolt up but stranger things have happened. Should be easy enough to bolt a caliper for a test-fit.
 
the fronts are def straight bolt on... the rears are most likely too, but it's not impossible either that the knuckle could still be different for the caliper mount from the 35 to the 50... I'm not sure if it's actually been confirmed 100% yet. I'd say chances are good that the knuckle is the same & you'd just need the calipers & rotors though but not 100% sure... actually monday if you bump this during the day I can check my database to see if it's the same part # for 35 & 50
 
Unknown to me, another member found out that the 2003-2008 AWD axles are 2" wider than 2003-2008 RWD axles. So there could be difference in AWD/RWD to the rear hub possibly too and not just difference between the FX35/FX50.

I learned never to assume anything is bolt-on -- too much the hard way=) Even a high-end AP Racing Big Brake Kit wasn't a 100% bolt-on, more like 98%, but good enough!
 
I'm really liking this color... will have to paint mine like this whenever I do the brake upgrade.

That color on the "nissan" logo calipers are nice. That candy red looks nice to.

I say go for the Nissan logo.

What paint would you use? Just a high-temp paint? Anodized or powder coating would be great, my AP Racing got chipped once when I was rotating wheels, luckily Red Caliper paint from my auto store is almost identical so i could touch it up.
 
I do like the Nissan Logo, maybe I will stick with that. Probably easier to find decals or a stencil for also.

I'm not so sure about this. I have purchased 2 AWD axles for my rears. The left and right axles are not the same length due to offset differential.
 
I heard this rumor too, but I don't believe it. everything out back besides the axles & the hubs are the same, for there to be significant differences in the axle length wouldn't make any sense, to the tune of 2"?? don't think that's possible unless the diff winded up being 4" narrower to make up for it...

personally I think I like the infiniti text over the nissan text on the fx tbh
