FX50 with blacked out grille & vents

 That looks sick...

Nice blacked-out grill and side vents. I hate the silver side vents...this looks georgeous! plus sitting on the 21's...WOW

ditto on the grille, nothing can make that grille better...maybe an aftermarket.

I think the grille looks much better this way. The problem with it is the size of it and the indent to allow the front camera.. It's pretty hard to come up with a good looking grille keeping the indent..

I also think it'll look way better dropped and with 22s.

+1 on that.

I thinks it look a million times better! I wonder how much better my ugly as- grill would look if I color matched it.. I like it ALOT better color matched!

On a white FX:

Don't do it man. It won't look good.
Colormatch the black trim and side vents but not the grille.

i think they look sooo much better with black grilles.
good job!! im pickin up my grille from the shop tomorrow. cant wait

Sick!! Black grill looks good and this white molding looks sick too. Black grill makes the car look menacing.

Had to bump this thread cause I just wanted to say I love that color matched grille. Mine was vinyl wrapped in gloss black and I think paint looks way better.

I love the black grill. I know this is an old thread but I asked a place to do this for me but said paint wont stay on the grill and will look bad after a bit. Is this true?

It will stay on if the paint and prep work is done correctly. My grill has been painted for 3 years now (by a shop) and no issues. There are a few minor chips from gravel, but it's no worse than the bumper or hood under similar circumstances. Shops just don't like to do it because there's a lot of sanding and they can't make much money on small parts. I paid $85 to have mine done since I had history with them, normal price is $1-150 which isn't a lot of money for the work. It's plastic, who can't paint plastic?
