FX50 with blacked out grille & vents

I would just wet sand the hell out of it myself & then take it to the shop for prime & paint if you can just rattle can spray it yourself. It will eventually get scratched or cracked cause of road debris & grime. Theres no avoiding that.

It's plastic chrome so it just has to be sanded so the primer can stick. As long as they do that step well, the paint will be just as strong as anywhere else. If they don't sand properly, primer won't adhere well to the slick plastic and then you'll have chipping/flaking issues.

Ordering a new 3.7 QX70S grille is also an option as it comes blacked out with black chrome highlights.

The grille, fog housing, roof racks, vents, and rear hatch trim on my 5.0 were taken from the 3.7. Unfortunately the 5.0 was chrome only.
