Took the cross bars off my roof yesterday. Already looks better with the glossy black roof showing more. Anybody know where to buy new gutters (that line the roof under the roof rails)? Mine are ripply looking and I want new ones, as I'll be taking the rails off. A set that doesn't have holes for roof rails would be nice lol.

You could also get them in white and vinyl them black.

They are like $132 each, and then you will have to buy separate little caps to cover the holes, the pieces are not available without the holes for the racks.
 
So it officially happened. I was pulled over on the 4th of July for my window tint. And while I was getting my license and registration out for him, he checked to see if I have a front plate. Needless to say I do not, so I was ticketed for both. Only reason my windows weren't down was because I was on the freeway.
 
I'm not sure yet. Will need to look into it. I'm not excited though. And absolutely will not be putting a license plate on the front.

Should only be fix it tickets. I believe they are around $10(at least when I got mine) each plus proof that you corrected the problem.
 
I didn't even know that a plate bracket for the tow mount existed. How cool. I'll definitely be doing that, and taking it off immediately after I have the ticket written off. As for the tint, I really don't want to have it removed and put back on. I'll probably just pay that if it's not too much...
 
Ya 06-08 have different size thread. When I ordered mine we found out that the 03-05 and 06-08 were different. I had to take pictures and measurements for them so that could fix the problem.

Yup! After all my measurements they said that they will be sure that the correct threads went with the correct years.

You can pay to keep the window tint on? I thought you had to show them it's off? I saw someone talking about using the transitions coating on car windows, but not sure if that's available yet.
The screw on license plate mount will be a good transition fix. I wonder if you could make a motorized plate James Bond style. The traffic cameras take rear picture anyway, so why require a front plate?

I've always wondered what the purpose of a front plate was, if you have a rear plate.
It's been argued a lot; yes, it's a form of identification, but you have a rear plate, as well.
 
For the RHO bracket, I met up with the vendor and he had a look at the fitment and realized that a smaller "rod" would be ideal, that would allow for the flushest fitment of the plate.

And he knows about the difference from 03-5, and 06-08. So you should have no worries ordering from RHO.
 
Sounds like there needs to be a "iS RHO front plate bracket loaner program". Pass it around the next forum supporter who needs to get their fix it ticket signed off.
