Ok, so I finally got an Ipod...

So I went ahead and ordered the following:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Part....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:727|65:12|39:1|240:1318

Thanks to Bert, I got it installed yesterday. As usual, "The Miracle Man" made it happen. He did a good job and makes everything look so easy.

So if your looking into an Ipod interface, this is a good one to buy. You can control it from your stereo, or you can control it from the Ipod. Only downfall is that it does not charge the Ipod.

Thanks again Bert.

I'm not too sure, but I'm sure you have the same set up as an 04 and 05. I think the seller forgot to put down 03-05 instead of 04-05 like he did.

but it's nice to have all your favorite music on the ipod and not have to be dealing with cd's in the car.

Why does it say in the auction that IT DOES charge your ipod?

you sure you got the right adaptor? It says if you have a newer ipod, it needs a different adaptor 5v vs 12v?

So what they have on their add isn't correct????

" This direct connection eliminates the need for noisy FM modulated solutions, and also keeps the iPods internal battery charged and Ready To Go."

I'm looking for one which does charge the ipod but doesn't cost too much.

toy4x may be right, it could just be the adapter. I know my daughters ipod will not charge on an older cradle on a boom box.

"ipod"......Im happy with the tape player in the 04........................jk Pierce.

oh damn, you know maybe I have the settings on wrong on the interface. It has these little switches on it. Let me double check. But it sounds really good.

I have a 4th gen Nano.

I'm going to message the guy. See what he tells me.

Is there an additional part you can put on the ipod connector to make it charge. There is a link on the apple store, but I don't have 10 posts to be able to include the link. It's called the Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter

it should charge the ipod....626fx is looking into it....

Carlos.... I think Humberto stole your part when you weren't looking!! You know how they role in South Gate!!

also I like the chance to hook up HD Radio, but I don't see in his other auctions the HD radio part.

The interface is located under the center console. The wires run down from the stereo to the interface which is located under the center console next to the shifter. Then the cables runs into my arm rest and let the cable come out from there. So I open up my tape deck door and place my connected ipod there and listen to it on Aux 1. Thats it.

Yeah, I just messaged the guy right now. Maybe we need to mess with the little switches on the interface.

LMAO, yeah I know how you foo's do in Southgate. hahahaha. I used to live in Lynwood and Maywood.

If you go into his store, he has them there. I think you can message him. He was pretty quick at answering last time I messaged him before I bought it. Lets see now that I bought it how long it will take him.
