FX vs...

Good luck with the FX! You will be very happy with your decision if you go with it. I know I am. My brother had an RX and it was very reliable and smooth, but lacked curb and sport appeal. The FX is definately a looker and has aged very well. What I love about it is that the design may be from 2003, but it looks better than almost of all the crossover/suvs on the roadtoday and even better looking than most 2010 models!

Preach it brotha!!!!

lol

lots of new designs out there but the 03-08 FX still kicking their asses!

One more piece of advice that I can give to you is depending on your budget, you should try to get an 06+ for the updated Hvac/radio controls and minor exterior changes. And I wish i had the tech package as well. I wish i did alittle more research before I bought mine as i was very impulsive with my purchase of my '04. But I was adamant on getting Liquid Copper for years and that is only '03-'05.

I beleive Infiniti does a good job when it comes to their focus on safety.A FX with Side Curtain Airbags would be a must in any car nowdays.I know you want to do everything you can to keep your loving wife and kids safe,so its your decision. All 3 vehicles are great but I would go for the Infiniti if I was in your shoes.

I suggest getting the RX, your baby stroller alone will eat up the limited space of the cargo space in the FX due to its roof line.

Well, my sister has the RX and there isnt much space after her stoller goes either. I dont know how large the FX trunk is though.

Grab a stroller, a diaper bag and some day to day gear, toss it in the back to see how it fits........Cubic feet sound great in theory but you have to TRY it. FYI-Picked up my daughter at school today, I counted FOUR RX's in the lot and one FX (that was mine).

FX's are more rare and look better..

so the problem here is whether the stroller would fit or not? I am very sure it's gonna fit.

"a bit more baby friendly but still fun to drive" this is taken from your original post. The RX really doesn't fit this description.....The stroller will fit in an FX for god sakes and it will hold plenty of gear, I have two little ones and my wife and I alternate between our MDX and the FX all the time. The FX is not a four day weekend trip vehicle that will haul tons of gear but that's another ride altogether. Just do it man - FX.

So, I have been doing a little thinking and I am leaning towards an FX. I can't get over the styling of the RX. I want something a bit more sporty and I need something that looks a bit more "luxurious". I think an FX has more "bling" factor than an RX and I think the bigger SUVs aren't for me just yet. Maybe when the family grows a bit more.

Now I have to go check out some dealerships and take it for a test drive.

I was just in your same situation. I just bought a fx for my wife and i love it. Just like you we were looking between the fx and the rx and i def believe i made the right choice. I wanted something a liitle sporty but could double as a good, safe vehicle for my wife and kid. I have had it for a little under a month and it is the best vechicle i have owned. 19 and counting. Good luck with your desicion
